Which knife in M390?

I'm getting my first knife in M390 steel, but I can't decide which one. I have a Para 2 and love it, so I'm considering getting a sprint run in M390. I've also looked at the Benchmade Barrage and Silbert Design MPR, but I've never handled either so I'm reluctant. Any recommendations on any of those three, or even some other brand out there? I'm looking to spend around $200 if that makes a difference (doesn't it always?).

Thanks

I picked up a Military in M390 and I swear its a light saber in disguise. It may be too big/priced higher than you asked, but its a rock solid choice for an edc. I am looking to pick up a PM2 to match it shortly. You just can't beat Spydercos knives in M390.

I really like the 581 barrage in m390 it fits well in had and I am a sucker for the assisted function. I have also and still own a military and the size of that is very good but big for my EDC tasks.

I couldn't say which one would be the best fit for you but I do have a 710 in m390 and by all accounts its performed wonderfully

Here are my m390 blades. I am least fond of the BM 581, top - mainly due to it's assisted feature. The BM 755 MPR is my favorite - it's been a 24/7 EDC for nearly two years now. My wife bought me the 480-1 Shoki last summer - great 'Gent's knife'. She also bought me a backup 755BK MPR for Christmas. Of course, with all of the carry and use, I've had to sharpen it several times - with a Sharpmaker - very straight forward - just clean the ceramic files often.

If you like the Para 2, then you'll love the M390 Para with that blue G10....that color just pops out at you. I regret selling mine but will be picking up another soon.

I'm planning on getting a 480-1 Shoki soon for formal occasions not sure if your lookin for a user or just any m390 blade but that's the one I will be getting to check m390 off my list.

I second a 710-2, it's the best Benchmade in M390 IMHO (maybe the best Benchmade period). It carries slim, has a 3.9" blade for proper reach and self defense, a high flat grind and thin behind the edge for slicing. It's superb and it has beefy, thick skeletonized liners. It's a world class knife in M390. I much prefer it to the Barrage or the 755.

It's all yours for $150 from one online retailer only (it's exclusive to one retailer). Hint: You should see how well this knife works.

I believe there are still black bladed AFCK's in M390 from the original dealer. If you don't get an M390 Millie, I recommend the AFCK over the other M390 models.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I think the conclusion I have come to is that I will be picking up both a pm2 and benchmade in M390. It's for the best, it would just be a matter of time before I tried both anyway. :D

I reeeeally don't like AO knives. YMMV. The P2 is very hard to beat in any configuration, and the M390 exclusive is a great example of the P2. I don't know if they're still available, but I really like the M390 Benchmade 710s.

I have a MPR; it's too fat. Reviews on the web say it's too fat. I don't carry it.
I have two Para2's and several Benchmades. I'd get the 710 or Para2.

I have the blue Para 2 in M390. I'm considering the BM 581 but the clip is on the wrong end. I would consider the BM 710 but its clip is on the wrong end too, and the 710 is too similar to a couple of other knives that I already have.

I have most of the knives mentioned in this thread (besides the sibert, too thick of a grind, to short to wide overall). I really like both the Para 2 and 581, I'd also take a look a the 710 in M390 as well.
