Which knife should i buy?

I'm very happy with most my Emersons. One of them had an issue but they can be sent in for lifetime warranty repair.

Just note Emersons definitely are not for everyone.

shop for titanium frame lock ZT knives with S35VN steel. great bang for the buck and will withstand hard use. something like a ZT 0801Ti

Go Cold Steel. Recon 1, Voyager, Rajah III, Talwar, broken Skull, AK47, Code 4...for $200 you can get two of them, one for each type of cutting or situations but all tough beasts
 
I second the Cold Steel suggestion. My Ultimate Hunter is one tough beast.
 
Man , if I could blow 200 bucks on a knife ... I'd be super tempted to buy a Black Jack model 125 or model 5
 
Wait until you start dropping $500 or twice that. For that reason I ended up getting into firearms for a bit. I wasn't finding much worth the asking price, then I saw a few things and came back.
 
I'll go with Knife Center exclusive Spyderco Manix 2 in CruWear! Not exactly "heavy duty", but it'll cut whatever you need cut and hold up to as much abuse as any ZT out there. Best ergonomics that I've handled so far, literally, the best. Tough, wear resistant blade in a classic platform. In my eyes it's pretty tough to beat.

You'd have to shop around for them since their run is over, but you should be able to find one around $200. You could even go for the diamond pattern G10 sprint run, but I'm partial to the carbon fiber, haha.

Thats the thing im not from the US it could take months to send it. What was the problem with yours?

The lock was slipping against the tang of the knife. I definitely think you should consider avoiding Emerson if you are outside America. I would say the Manix 2 from Spyderco was angery good suggestion.

Was really digging the mini commander. Maybe things arent ment to be though. Thanks ill check it out

If you do order one. (I love my micro commander) make sure to ask whoever you order it from to check for good lockup and no lock slip. Abit of lock stick is fine for Emersons and actually mine which had lockstick wore to be some of my best functioning Emerson knives.

Remember lock stick: a-ok
Lock slip: no go.
