For some weird reason, I have always been fascinated with D2. Simple straight to the point name, yet a great steel. It’d be kinda cool if they came up with a R2 steel to appeal to the Star Wars fans.
 
I thought Carbon V was the coolest when I got my first Trailmaster back in the late 90’s.
Then there was San Mai…
Now I'm more partial to 3V and Magnacut although Dendritic Cobalt/Stellite/Talonite still makes me smile.

It sounds, feels, and actually is cheap.

I have handled a lot of garage knives in 440B, but Randall have used it for a looong time and no one ever complained from what I saw.

Everyone trying to get cheap stainless should be jumping on AEB-L though honestly.
