I'm relieved. I just ordered one, and it's my first non-karambit Emerson. I have no trouble waving any of the karambits, either the two Emersons or the two Foxes. The ring may have a lot to do with that though. I draw it in reverse grip so I rotate towards the outside of the pocket which is easy to do with my index finger in the ring.

My Super Karambit is so smooth on the draw. My Ti-Lite is a close second.

I have a 15 and a fox 599 k-bit and my Fox is so easy i can do it sitting from my side pocket. I have a new CQC-15 and its difficult to get it from my side pocket so I keep it in my back right with my wallet.

I love the look on peoples face when you quickly deploy your Emerson. Ill NEVER carry an EDC without it.

I want to get an Emerson Super Commander again someday. Years ago I had a TADGEAR limited special edition super commander with true satin finish. It came with a zippered storage pouch and an Emerson patch along with a TADGEAR patch. I was still new to knife collecting and some guy in a knife store in Effingham, IL took advantage of my being new. Long story short, he got a nice knife and I got a CRKT!

My Super Commander actually waves slightly better than my CQC-7. However, when I got my Journeyman last year, that took first place as far as "ease of waving."

Ron, as much as I love my Super Commander (I really don't mind carrying larger blades for edc) I would suggest getting the Journeyman first. It is an amazing knife that is simply an outstanding edc blade. On topic, in my experience, the Journeyman waves than my Commander, Super Commander, and my 7. If you do a quick search of the Journeyman here on the forums then you will see many others singing praises about it too.

I would like them both and a Patriot and a super roadhouse and a super 8 and a super CQC-6 waved. A guy can dream anyway.........
