Which knife will you be carrying this 4th of July?

Headin' up the the in-law's Summer house on the lake for some R&R and bass-fishin'. But, along with my AmEx and P228, I' won't be leavin' home without these:

Now on July 5th, I'm packing this combo:

I'm a little late on this one - it's now July 5th. I carried my Lefty large Sebenza in it's CRK black leather belt sheath. That is, until it was time to don the bathing suit and jump into the pool.

Maybe I should have brought along a diving knive? ;)
 
After being down and out most of last week and the begining of this week with wisdom tooth problems.......... I'll be in the shop ALL weekend (4days) carrying various knives in various states of completion :)

Wound up carrying this one instead. River City CF-pattern kydex. Factory-supplied sheath sucked.

Surprisingly doesn't get in the way at all.

Show with a 1 1/2" Cabelas Upland belt.

...........put my large wood inlaid Classic Sebbie up for a little rest and broke out my Camillus Cuda MAXX for a little carry time. Also gave the MT Halo III a rest and put on my large leather inlaid Classic Sebbie! In its brand new, horizontal leather, with a flap and snap, and leather perfectly matched in color to the inlays sheath. Sheath is by Dave aka Lifter4him. You need a sheath? Dave the man to see!:D :cool: :D

Now I'm dreaming up all kinds of sheath combos.

- MAXX and E2e together
- Halo III and E2e
- E2e and M2
- Gerber Yari and E2e

you get the idea..........
 
Now that it's past, I can tell you what I actually carried and it was the diminutive Spyderco Pride. I spent most of the day opening boxes at my new gourmet store. Take care.
 
This past fourth, I had my Busse AS around my neck and a PE Native IWB.

Michael,
That is a lovely little knife. I could not find any other info on it. Would you mind emailing me or posting the details of that little beauty. It has a Dozier mixed with Rinaldi look to it that I really dig. I have come back to this thread 1/2 a dozen times just to check it out.

I was down at Myrtle beach with my wife and daughter.
I was thinking about bringing my MADD MAXX but
the sea water and D2 blade are not good friend,
so I ended up just bring the chive.
My daughter thought the chive was some kind of candy. ( She is only 18 month old)
So every time she sees the chives clipped in my pocket, she tried to grab
it out from my pocket. My wife gave me the evil look every time hehehehe...

Actually, I was carrying a sword, Patrick Barta's reproduction of a sword pulled out of the Nydam Bog in Denmark, a pattern-welded sheath knife for an eating utensil which I pair with my horn spoon, and my dandy little repro Roman clasp knife that I bought from Holger Ratsdorf at www.h-rreplikat.de You see, I was wearing my Late Roman re-enacting gear to a party next door to my house on a lark. While the adults thought that I was crazy and my teenaged daughter didn't want to know me, the other kids were all fascinated, especially by the sword. Obviously, I showed it to them, but it was not something that I let children handle, it may not be razor sharp, but it can still injure somebody if used carelessly. I have a tunica and braccae(pants) of linen, so it wasn't so hot as it might have been in wool.
