Which knife would you pass down to the next generation?

Trying to stay with production knives, although if you have a custom you'd be willing to leave to someone go ahead and list it.

For me it would be my Case Equal End Pen from the 20's, my William Henry Pearl T-10 Lancet, my Buck Titanium 186, my Gerber Silver Knight Collection, my Schrade TRT(nah I'm takin' that one with me to show the Big Guy :D ) and finally my Bud Nealy Aikuchi, and Crawford One Hand Knife.

So what about you?

None. I want them all melted into a blob and dropped in the ocean. If I can't have them... :)

Shortly after I bought my Microtech Lightfoot I bought a second one and tucked away in my safe, with the thought of giving it to my son when he's 16 (he's only 4 now). I guess he'll get both eventually...

I will be passing down a Randall Model #14 that went to the desert with me during the Persian Gulf War as well as my CRK collection.

I have a pair of Randall Mini's that are slated for my boys. They're 7 and 12 now, so they've got a few years to go before they get their hands on them.

I have told my son he can have all my knives when I pass on. Now everytime I get a new knife he asks me with a straight face - "Daddy... can I have that knife when you die?". I'm kinda sorry I ever mentioned it because I think he might try to bump me off before it's my time  ;)

I always like threads like this. Fun to read and fun to reply too.

I will pass down my Buck 532 MS Overrun, or maybe the 102BR Cocobola Woodsman too. Not sure about if I will pass down the rest of my other blades cuz they are pretty much hard users and probably won't last long enough. Where I treat the 532 and the 102BR like jewels. Oh may I add a regular brushed chrome Zippo lighter too? :D Bought it in Hawaii in 1995 and keeping it intact since then, solely for the purpose that I will give it to my nephew when he turns 21.

Well on second thought, I think I will pass down all my knives. What the heck. :)

Probably my Himalayan Imports knives. Don't know which one. But, they are cool, they are rugged and useful, they are handmade

My Chris Reeve fixed blades: CRK can refurbish them (so they'll last), and they somehow make a statement about the time we live in.

Spyderco civilian, and the rest of my small spyderco collection. I'll just take my lime Jester to fight of the rest of the bunch in hell. :)

I am currently waiting delivery on a Bushman that I ordered form Peter Jensen of JEB that I had customized slightly. It has FTM/DTM engraved on the blade, mine and my sons initials, but like Bunabayashi stated earlier, he will get them all anyway  :D

Cerberus  :D

Great thread!

I will pass on all my knives but four of them must be given special attention.

My Busse Combat Grade Natural Outlaw and my Busse Euro4. These are my working knives and have deployed with me and also seen much field use. They are useful well made tools and should be passed on so they can be used/abused by someone who will appreciate them.

My Busse Argonne Assault. I cut my wedding cake with that knife , so it should be a family heirloom. Plus I had to sell the other knife we cut our wedding cake with so I gotta keep this one.

My Custom Busse Natural Outlaw it was made for me and a lot of thought and craftsmanship went into it. I just enjoy owning this knife and someone who would appreciate it should have it when I'm gone.

Although all of the knives I own are of high quality and have a certain degree of attatchment for me, these are the special ones.

My Ek #3 Effingham model. It means a lot to me for many reasons. (Mutt)
My Spyderco Calypso Jr. It reminds me of the time my mom confiscated it
