Which knife would you pass down to the next generation?

My BM Leopard Cub was the first one-hand opening clip knife that I bought and if I have any kids, the first born will get that knife.

I'm planning to will each of my knives to my friends and family to have something to remember me by.

Both productions and customs will wind up in some estate sale. Someone is gonna get some nice stuff for bargin prices I'll bet.

I picked up a Swiss Champ with wood scales for my sons first knife. I also bought (specifically to give him later) a 100th aniversary Schrade. As far as I am concerned he can have them all, but I hope he will cherish the ones I liked the most, i.e. DMKnives and Winston fixed, U2 folder from Fallkniven and a LM Wave.

Jesse will get all my Randall's, watches, pens, everything

I just hope he will appreciate them like I have

How old are ya anyway? ;)

All of them I suppose.

But the ones that are rather special are:

Spyderco micarta Calypso Jr. (I have a plain-edged and a serrated)
Spyderco micarta Dyad Jr. (or Mini-Dyad, I forget)
Spyderco SS Mariner
Spyderco G-10 Police (flat-ground
Benchmade 722
Camillus orange parachute knife
Moki Silverfeather

Good luck,
Allen.

all of them, but particularly my Randalls, Busses, CRKs, Spydercos, and automatics. I guess the three that will have special meaning will be my edcs - a large sebenza, MOD CQD Mk I, and a left handed police SE. Since I am left handed this may present some problems for my heirs.

Hopefully by that time, I will have aquired some finer quality knives by then. As of right now, I don't have too much to offer. But then I'm only 20 and don't have any children (Not to my knowledge at least) so I have a lot of time (I hope.)
Who ever winds up with my sword collection will be very happy, though. Nothing too fancy right now, just some Chen's and some unkown pieces.

Even still, I think I would want to give away my lot before I pass on. Just so I can make sure each person knows how much they, and the knife, means to me. I would also like to make sure that they have it a while before they pawn/sell them. If at all possible, I would like these people to carry and use them.

Oh, right... The point. Well right now I would make a point of giving my Bob Lum Tanto from Spyderco; possibly my most eligant piece. Then my BM710, just to show them what a hard working knife is really capable of.

Now that's a thought, but if I give 'em away while I'm still alive, I'll wanna use 'em and play with 'em. :D

I would like to pass on some cool Busses, because I know that will last longer than either my or any offspring I might have!

My son gets my Puma White Hunter with its presentation box.
My daughter will get my Swiss Champ. I will get the rest of my collection, my EDC will be clipped to my pocket as they close the lid and lower me 6' under.
Who says you can't take it with you..Its the Native American way.. ;)

My daughter will get my Spydercos, HI khukuris, Busse Active Duty, SwampRat Howling Rat, and my few remaining Benchmades.

I have willed my 600 year old katana and my well used 1966 Randall Model 1 to my youngest son.

I will make sure to pass on my Edward C. Barnes & Sons Double-edged dagger I call it. It was made in the 1860's and has abalone inlays on the handle. It was one of the first knives my dad ever gave me. It should continue its trip through time.

The only knife I would consider passing on to one of my heirs (and only to one who appreciated it) would be a prototype folder that Bob Terzuola took out of his own pocket and gave to me as a gesture of pure friendship.

This knife is a symbol of something meaningful to my soul. The rest of my collection is just knives.

My Buck collection
Mooremakers
Winchesters
Ruana
Randalls
I have more but those are my favorites.
Scott

:D I have given this some thought and this is what I have come up with. My tops collection will be split up between my youngest son and little girl because out of all my kids they show the most interest in knives and what they are used for. They will also get whatever customs I have around at the time. My EDC's are without a doubt going to my son and they are my CRKT M16-12Z, kershaw leek, SOG powerlock. The ferhman final judgement is going with me. (I may need it!!!)
