Which Luminox?

Hey, does anyone know where I can buy one of these (see picture) LA-LSN bands for my Luminox for less than the $24 plus shipping that is shown in the picture?

I never tried anything like "saddle soap." But I can guarantee I really worked hard on it for months. I'd pull it off while watching TV and I'l like pinch it flat and roll the fold at that sharp angle. I'd then reverse it in the opposite direction and do the same thing. Just never loosened up.

I liked it's look. It was a thick, almost padded. It look luxurious...nice quality looking leather.

In this case, the a watch down because of the band situation is like not buying a knife because it's not sharp enough. Just sharpen in yourself and get it where you want it. So for me, it wasn't a big deal.

You will like the watch.

Dann,

I bought one. I think I paid $25, plus shipping. I ordered it through www.parsecent.com . It took about 10-12 days to get it. I did not shop around. This company is the one Luminox pointed me to.

Very nice band. I had been using a Timex band of that type (good, but tacky), but had to have a Luminox band.

Hope this helps.

Ron

Ron,

I just checked at that web-site.
...$31.95 (including shipping) for that Luminox band!.

.

Heck, I can buy the "same" one (for Timex Ironman) at Walmart for $11.00, including sales tax...

I wonder if it's the Luminox name on 'em that makes 'em so darn expensive, or are they THAT MUCH better than the "Timex" ones???.

Dennis,

Thank-You for the info. I can live with the price of $24.94 (including shipping) for that Luminox band. (It sure beats the heck out of $31.95!).

Dann,

The Luminox band is a step up in quality from the very similar Timex one I had bought. I can't remember the price I paid for the Timex band. The Luminox one has a metal buckel (Timex had plastic buckel), slightly better material (nylon/velcro), and the logo & SEAL crest are outstanding (being made of quality rubber, stiched, and great colors).

Is it worth $25? Almost. Definately worth it to get the "Timex" name off my wrist!

It just felt wrong to mix the two brands!

Ron

Ron,

I figured it was either buy the "Timex" band AND a black "Magic Marker" (to get "rid of" the "Timex" wording and the cute little "Ironman" symbol on the band

), or spring for the $25 real-deal Luminox band.

Eventho I AM a cheap bastid, I'm sending-in my $24.94 to Cabela's.

Hey Dann,

I bought black dye!

But the problem was, I still knew and anyone close enough could see it...that was enough for me to want the real one.

I've had a Luminox 3104 for about a year now. I didn't think that any watch could replace my Casio Triple Sensor, but this Luminox has entirely.
I wear my 3104 every day and while working here on the ranch it has taken quite a bit of abuse and a few hard accidental hits that I thought for certain might have damaged it, but this damned thing seems nearly indestructible. The only weak point of this 3104 are the pins that attach the watch to the band. Within the first week of ownership the pins gave way, but ever since I replaced them with Rolex pins I haven't had a bit of trouble. Great watch!

I have the Red faced #3015 and am never without it. Love that watch!

I occassionally get the comment "Hey, It has 'Navy SEALS' on it!" My standard answer has become "I don't give a $#%& if it said 'Girl Scouts', it fits my needs."

I just received my 3105 yesterday, and am quite impressed with it. I wasn't sure whether or not I would like the rubber band, but after using it, I can't see any reason to replace it with a nylon one for now. Of course the first thing I did with it was take into a dark closet so that I could see the tritium light up for myself. To sum up, I am 100% satisfied with the watch and the service that I received from Dennis Bible.

Hi Archie,

Just be careful about bringing people into a dark bathroom with you to show it off. Others will think your wierd.

Dennis Bible did an awesome job for me on my #3202! Great guy to work with!

Archie,

Welcome to the 3105 club! Out of a bunch of watches, my 3105 has become my favorite in the short time that I've owned it (1 week ago today). It has even replaced my Citizen ProMaster Dive Watch as my "daily wear" watch!

I HAVE gone ahead and ordered one of those $25 nylon/velcro "Luminox" watchstraps, as I like the EXTRA margin against loss of the watch that it provides; (If one watch spring-bar breaks, you still have one spring-bar holding the watch to the band, since it's a one-piece strap...With the rubber band that the watch comes with, if one spring-bar fails, you lose the watch!). I also like the "custom fit" on the wrist, due to the velcro adjustment. ...And it has the cool-looking Luminox logo on it!

Ron -- is that the titanium one? If so, how much does it weigh? I am looking for a lighter watch for my delicate wrists?

Anyone with one of the Field watches -- how heavy are they?

Thanks,
Clay

Hi Clay,

Nope, the Titaniums are the 3600 Series. I really wanted one of those, but couldn't justify the cost. Mine's just a tad heavier than I'm used to, but I'm not considering that a problem.
