I know there are many that are not taking on new jobs because of work load. Who is taking on new jobs?

I have posted there, and had another post moved there. No replies yet.

This is the text from those posts:

I am looking into having a Manix 2 made smaller.

Here are some examples of what I am talking about:

I have neither the tools nor the experience to feel comfortable attempting something like this on my own.

I would like to keep the lanyard coupling and drill and tap the liners to accept a Dragonfly 2 wire clip.

Full extent of the mods would be:
-Shortening/reshaping the blade.
-Reshaping the liners (also flushing the liner jimping that remains) and scales.
-Drilling the liners and scales for the lanyard hole coupling.
-Drilling and tapping the liners for the clip mount screw.
-Machining trenches on the scales for the Dragonfly wire clip to nest in.

Let me know what you think. Also, would it a saber ground or full flat ground blade work better on a project like this?

I sent you a pm with some ideas. Sounds like it will be a nice knife when finished, I'll be on the lookout for pictures!

those links are nfg

You want to do this ?

You all know it was coming........
This is Shop Talk. Here we discuss projects, methods, materials, etc. on knives we are working on or planning.

We DON"T do and buying and selling, or solicit work. That is what The Exchange is for.

If you made a post in The Exchange, and no one answered it, then either no one is interested in the job or the post wasn't clear. Another suggestion is to look at the knives and type of work you are interested in and contact those members directly by PM or email. Using the search engine should help or try looking in the gallery, folder forum, exchange, etc. to find potential modders.
