Which Military did you carry today?

S30V satin blade today :) Driving for 2.5 hrs, then sitting in a conference room for 3 hours. Took it out for a quick sharpen and fondle before heading off to bed :)

I place an order for a S30V Digi Cam with Black blade, hope to have it by Monday of next week, then I will EDC that for a while.

Only have one, traded for an older 440v Milli. Really like it so far, very sharp edge that seems to hold up well. I like carrying blades that are a bit more unique, may look for a BG-42.

I have heard that S30v is considered an upgrade to CPM440v (S60v)- is this true? I can see where S90v would be superior to either, but shouldn't 440v hold an edge longer cutting say, cardboard, than s30v?

Too much knife for here at work. My all black S30V is at home waiting for the weekend so it can come out and play.

I think the only reason that S30V might be considered an upgrade is that no one seems to have much fun sharpening 440V/S60V.

Given two blades of equal hardness and proper heat treatment, S30V is probably less brittle than 440V. But I wouldn't call S30V an upgrade. Just different. I personally found my 440V Millie to be more stainless than my S30V Military.

Got my first millie(G10/s30v) yesterday and carried it. It's much larger than my micarta sebbies I usually carry, but is very light and easy to carry for a knife this size. It will definately go in my EDC rotation... along with my D2 Para, and micarta sebbies.

It will also replace my 20+ year old Endura as my go to fishing knife.

Started out this morning without a Millie on me(been EDCing different stuff lately), but right now the cool guy in a brown truck showed up and I have a bright shiney orange one to play with:D I think this one is gonna be my primary for a while.

Yeah, surprised me they were out this quick... I was quoted a lot later myself. It came from my local Spydie shop.
