Which Multi-Tools are ABSOLUTE GARBAGE???

I have learned to hate those cheap import, free with flashlite, good for nothing, china knok off multi-tools. A few years ago a friend won a 3-4 of the at a local carnival and gave them to me. I left them at work so I would have them if I ever got caught with out my Gerber, LM, etc. As luck would have it, I left mine in the truck and had to use the cheapies. While trying to pinch 2 pieces of metal togeather, I bent the pliers. The handles could now touch the other. I got another one out out and started again. One end of the plier went flying in to orbit. After that I made the 2 block trek to my truck to get the good stuff. I still have 1-2 of them at work, but I used them for messy things when I don't want to get mine oily, gressy, etc.
I recently tried to cut a piece of wire with a cheapie. But instead of cutting the wire, the wire cut into the cutters.
I hate working with junk!!!!!

I've had my Gerber Nautilus for a few days now. It's not worthless, but it is pretty bad. It's far too large and heavy for the very small number of tools it possesses. VERY small scissors with no spring. The button on the flashlight has a habit of turning on when you don't want it to. The odd size means that it needs a sheath the size of a sleeping bag.

The Nautilus is a mixture of good ideas with bad implementation.

I've been relatively happy with my Gerber Legend, LM Wave and SOG Powerlock...
However i am quite annoyed that i can't find the bloody replacement for the saw on my Gerber Legend...i've been to B&Q, Homebase, FOCUS...(all UK stores) and i still can't find it....

My father broke a Gerber Multi Plier and a guy he works with snapped the jaws right off of his Gerber Multi Plier too. Strange co-incidence if you ask me.

I bought a Gerber right after they came out and soon after the knife blade folded onto my finger because back then none of the tools locked, I tried to use it here and there and always managed to pinch the living daylights out of my hand and before I knew it the pliers wobbled all over the place and the entire tool rusted all to hell.

I'd have to say that my experiences with Gerber tools were less than favorable. I never bought another one. I have a Swiss Tool now and will never look back.

I've had a Gerber 400 for over two years and I never broke anything, bent anything or mangled any part of this tool. I've used those made in china pieces of cr@p and they all freakin broke. Handles closed on each other, impliments snap off, screwdrivers bend, jaws break, wire cutter deformation, YOU NAME IT. I'll never use another piece of junk like that again. From here on out, it's made in the USA for me! My bike, my tools, MY COUNTRY!

i once had a gerber 600 scout and i liked the one handed opening pliers but the handle screws started to work loose and i kept tightening them but they kept going loose and then i broke the awl on a really thin bit of plastic and i vowed never to buy another gerber product .

My friend's Gerber jaws snapped and the tool was thrown into a reservoir in disgust.
I would never buy anything by Gerber.
