Izula of those two, but also check out John Landi's PSK. It is an exceptional necker or belt knife.

no not yet... i use mine daily and it's still going strong... though i will be getting a custom kydex sheath made for it soon...

Out of the two, I'd go with the Izula, but, if you are open to other options, there is the forum neck knife from Koster, and Brian Andrews also has somthing in the works.

The Koster forum necker is a fine looking blade as is Brian's Scandi Necker.

But if I had to buy from a manufacturer instead, it would definitely be an Izula.

I have a kaala, and in my opinion, the izula would be better. Probably more comfortable to use, not to mention that the kaala is hollowground, which can be a weak spot if one is pressed to utilize the knife in manners not really meant for knives, but it is a wicked slicer. The izula, from what i've seen, can handle light prying, while also slicing pretty well. Not to mention that it is probably made from a more forgiving steel, 1095 vs. the s30v of the kaala.

I have no experience with the kaala, but I am very pleased with my Izula, so it gets my vote.

I also have no experience with the Kaala, it looks pretty nice though, but love the Izula. I've thinned the edge down a lot and it slices like crazy but is still extremely sturdy :thumbup:
