Which Neck Knife?

That is a great knife for sure, as is the Project W by laconico. Love my little wade necker knife with its scandi grind. Brian Andres is coming up with a scandi necker also.

But I love my Izula's to bits also. They are a fantastic little blade for $50. Don't know about the kaala, but the ergo's on the izula are hard to beat. Especially when paracord wrapped. Sheath has stayed tight for several months of usage. Invariably, the izula is in my pockets.

Just to add variety ti the thread, I'm considering a Folts Minimalist.

I have an Izula and a Minimalist (the warncliff CRKT one, not custom)

I really love them both.

The Minimalist has amazing ergenomics for it's small size. The fit and finish on mine was very good, and it came truely razor sharp out of the box which is always nice. It makes a handy EDC blade, and though i havent tried it yet, I bet it could do some pretty good whittling. Also, the stabby tip, tiny size and ultra secure grip would make it a solid backup self defence tool if you're into that. It is also cheap (Micarta and kydex for a <20 dollar knife? wow). This knife really doesn't get enough credit.

My default EDC these days is my leatherman juice and the Minimalist around my neck. If i'm going out in the woods though I'll have the Izula with me for sure. I won't bother to sing it's praises at length, others have covered that, everything they say is true.

From your two choices the Rat Izula all the way, But I like my Koyote Custom's the Puukko Style Necker In the middle and a Medium PSK on each side, For almost the same price you can get a Koyote Custom, Christof make's some Real Nice Knive's, But I do like the Rat Cutlery Izula and will be adding one to my Necker collection "And It Wont Be A Pink One !
