In for them all if I can swing it. Just based on the pics for the most part (already have a 0801BRZ, so I'm familiar with that one), my initial thoughts and preferences are:

#1 - 0850 - Rexford + Sinkevich... I like everything I've seen from both designers so far. This one certainly looks different and interesting. At first, I thought this was actually going to be a LE (CF handles w/ sub-frame lock, decorative thumb stud & rounded backspacer, decorative pivot, and milled Ti pocket clip), but somehow they've pulled off making this one a regular production piece.

#2 - 0460 - The 0450 has been an EDC favorite, and the 0460 looks to carry the same spirit. This is a no-brainer for me.

#3 - 0055 - Very curious about this one. I'm not as familiar with GTC's designs, but the spring-loaded hidden flipper does seem interesting. While larger than what I usually carry, there's enough new stuff in this design (SLT, and that dual grind w/ Wharncliffe-like upper portion) that it's really captured my interest.

#4 - 0920 - This one looks like a beast. Dimensions and weight-wise, it's close to the 0804CF, so this may be another of those deceptively large, yet easy to carry knives. I do tend to stick with the smaller knives for most of my daily carry, which is why this one is further down. That said, my 0454 and 0804CF still get a fair amount of use.

#5 - 0801TI - Already know this one is awesome because I already have a 0801BRZ. I do like this new handle pattern better than the original 0801. This one is at the bottom just because I already have a 0801BRZ.

Call me cynical, but if you're trying to control your spending, the best approach is to hate everything you love.

I stated in the other ZT thread that I wasn't wowed by any of these. I am still not blown away, but I will say that I found myself (after exhaustive review of all pictures provided by KAI so far) at least somewhat interested in the 0850. Seemed like it has some neat features, plus blue carbon fiber might be cool. However, as soon as I saw that the street price is going to be over $300, that promptly torpedoed that inkling of interest. I also can't understand the love for that 0055 flipping system. I saw the pics, and all I see is CRKT's "LAWKS" tab. That's a pass for me.

So, as stated in the other thread, I won't be buying any Zero Tolerance knives this year, which come to think of it, is the same as last year. If anyone other than Olamic is getting my money this year, it's starting to look like it might be Spyderco.

I'm liking that 0460. I've very nearly pulled the trigger on the 0450, but the handle seems a little small, I think it might be even smaller than my BM 940 and closer to the Valet, which was too small for me. But that nice, curved handle on the 0460 looks just about right. Bronze CF and titanium and a non-coated blade...just what I'd wanted in the 0450. And that blade shape...wow. Nice for EDC in business casual.

Not really a fan of any of the new stuff. My EDC has been 0562CF since the day I put it in my pocket. Can't see any of those knives replacing it.

The 0850 would be a must have..... for $100 less at least though. Price point is too high imo.

The handle length on the 0460 is 4.25" which is 0.25" shorter than 940 but 0.5" longer than the Valet.

And, apparently, a whopping .1" longer than the 0450. But as you say, significantly more to grab onto than with the Valet, which is good news to me. Might just be the ticket. Of course, if I don't like it, I could flip it and get a 940-2.

I have to say I'm excited about the 0920 and the 0055. I have a couple 0801's and both get a fair share of pocket time. The new 0801 will find its way into my collection in time.

they just keep making the same knives over and over again just with slightly different variations, not buying any of their new stuff

I was hoping for a better 620, not a fan of any of the new offerings. The 2017 knives are too space agey for me.

Same knives over and over again?! Only 0801TI is kind of old but the rest are brand new ZT design collaborations.

The new 801 handle is awesome, I Never was a fan of that aggressive line milling. I'm buying a 0850 for sure, that this is crazy looking. And how did ZT know that blue CF is my fav? Crazy.

I ended up pre-ordering the 0460 first.

I may do the same. Ended up getting a 0450, and the handle fits my hand very well, not at all too small. Though now the 0460 is kinda similar to the 0450, but with that upswept tip, and and the CF... kinda hard to resist.

Hey,

I thought I would do a small market research about the new 2017 ZT lineup myself and see what new models people are interested in, if any. It is possible to vote more than one model if you're planning on buying more than one model.

I am looking forward to the 0850. I love the blade shape, size and blue carbon fiber. Not too thrilled about the backspacer but perhaps I'd have to see it in person for a better look

Still waiting on the 0920 :)

Not too excited about the rest but then again I'm holding myself to a single purchase this year
