Which of these high end folders would you choose???

I really don't understand the purpose of spending that much on a knife.

Welcome to BladeForums, although odd choice for your 1st post. The OP stated if $ wasn't a consideration, so pretend you don't have to pay for it or it's covered by someone else.

I've owned/used 3 of the 5 (DDR, Seb, & SnG). I only kept the Seb out of those 3. If it's a knife I could have outside of what I have, I'd say the Yuna.

Why spend a lot of money on anything? Because it is what you like. Better be careful though, if you stay here long enough you might be spending $500 on a knife a year from now.

for robustness i would go XM-18, ie stabbing car doors.

normal use i would take the sebenza, which i already have.

also it would be nice if you could give credit to the owners of the pictures you have in the OP.

All the pics were from the manufacturers website other than the Sebenza and XM-18 that I got from Google images. I don't really know whos pics those are, but they are excellent shots. If it's anyone from this site let me know and I'll give you credit for them.

I'd go with the SMF because it's fuctional and not flashy. I'd be too afraid to use such a knife as the hinderer. It's so beautiful. Strider looks great, but it's too shiny and I'd be afraid to dirty it up. The Yuna the same, also I've noticed that they use zdp-189 alot of the times and I just don't have the time, patience or skill to keep it sharp. The DDR looks kinda dumb to me, but I'm sure it's pretty functional.

Out of those exact knives posted, I would only want the XM-18. Everything else is too flashy or gaudy for me. Though I do like several models posted when they're done up more plain

I like the Yuna except for the laminated ZDP because I think that you really have to work at having a precisely centered grind when sharpening. So it's the XM-18 and 2nd is the Yuna.

I already have the XM-18 and could not have better things to say about it. Next I will be trying out a Strider. Either the SNG or the SMF. Not sure yet. I just have a thing for big, strong knives.

Probably XM-18. I've haven't heard bad things that. Everyone who owns Hinderer have been impressed. Some other custom makers could make nice hard use knives. SteelSnob got his knife with 1,7mm titanium liners and linerlock knife. That looked so bank vault.

XM-18 No Contest. I don't like fancy knives, and by now I know from experience the XM-18 is about as well-built and tough as a folder can get. It's also perfectly sized, ergonomic, smooth, awesome blade steel...

I've looked at Yuna and I like the hard 2, I also really like the "S" option, but I've turned away from recurved blades.
So the Hinderer it is.
