Which of these options would you get and why?
1. Spyderco Domino in red or blue cf
2. Para 3 AND Delica 4
Or
3. Sage 5 AND Delica 4

I can't decide, please help! I like the Domino a lot, but is it worth $220(on bladehq) when I can get two good knives for that price? I am looking to use them as basic edc. Thanks. Also, these/this will be my first Spyderco knife.

Also, I definitely want to get the Domino at some point. Do you guys know how long the blue and red versions will be available? Are they like limited edition or anything like that?

Not particular on this knives but if you like one 100% and the others each 90% id go for 100. You will regret it later otherwise but it depends on you...

One more thing, does anyone have any experience with the steel on the Domino, I believe it's cts-xhp? How does it compare to s30v?

Sage 5 and Delica 4.

Just because I like those two and I don't like the Domino or Para 3.

The Delica is a great working knife at a low cost for dirtier jobs. Sage 5 is a nicer classy knife with great ergos and a (IMO) better profile closed and open compared to the Domino or Para 3.

Personally, I would want to vary the size a little. So I would go with a para 3 and an endura, or a para 2 and a delica, or a sage 5 and delica.
In any case, being your first spyderco(s) I would get two instead of just one.

I'm not a fan of the domino at all. I personally would pick the other ones. The steel type xhp is great. But I'm not a fan of fake carbon fiber over g10 for that price.

You may be able to pick up a domino used in the exchange for cheaper if thats what you want.

IMG_2523.JPG I have a Domino, blue weave, but put a custom scale on it, don't have the others.
I can say the Domino is my favorite Spydie, closely followed by a Southard.
I like the Sage 5, but don't have any interest in the Delica.
I'd get the Domino. The steel is great and easy to sharpen, the action is literally perfect and I love the fact there are many cool ways to open it up.
Serious slicing machine too!

These knives are about the same size. I wont buy two together like Option 2 or 3 unless I like each of them very much (which I dont). If it were me, I would buy Domino, and I would wait one nib/lnib to pop up at the Exchange.

If you have never owned a Delica, I suggest to buy one in ZDP-189 and keep the remaining $ for future. Or if you have to spend all $200 now, consider also adding a PM2. As suggested above, PM2+Delica is much better than Sage/Para3+Delica, IMO.

You can consider Manix2+Delica as well if you have to keep it strictly under $200 (Manix 2 with FRN handle is cheaper, under $100 BNIB).

I am not a big fan of flippers and I think I would prefer the thinner blade stock of the Sage over the Para3.

I would go with what is behind door number three.

I like my Domino a lot. Flips open like some sort of speed demon. The handle is perfect for my hand size, it reminds me of a scaled down Manix 2(which is incredible). While the height of the blade is a bit different, it's not uncomfortable or anything. Doesn't affect the form or function in any way(other than preference).

CTS-XHP is actually pretty damn awesome. I was unsure on whether I'd like it(it's stats on paper aren't exactly the best), but it sharpens with minimal effort, and takes a screaming edge that sticks around for quite some time. One thing I really like is that it doesn't show my finger prints. Polishing this steel is really easy compared to others.

I'd highly suggest instead of buying new, look on the exchange for one. May take a little while to find a blue or red one, but it'll be discounted beyond belief. I've seen stock Domino's sell for $130 consistently on the exchange.

I've never owned a Domino, never held one so I can't comment on it as an EDC. I do know what it's like to really want a certain knife. It's like having an itch you can't scratch. If you're sure you want to try the Domino I suggest getting one. The " voice inside" may never let up if you don't.

I'd go Delica 4 in ZDP. For the remaining money you may want to put some nice scales and a deep carry clip on there and you'll have something that's (imo) pretty close to a perfect EDC.

If I had to choose from your options I'd go Sage+Delica as I don't think too dearly of the PM3(PM2 is great tho, especially if you can get one in M4 :D ) and wouldn't want a domino since my experience with Spyderco flippers has been pretty flawed.
