Bazooka

Unfortunately, it's not as good now as when I was a kid (I'm 45).

I used to try and stick the whole bag in my mouth...i think a tooth would usually fall out from all the sugar.

Boy could I blow some large bubbles with BLC.

Bazooka Joe. The comix that came wrapped around the gum were gererally pretty stupid, but the gum was good.

What was that flat crap that came with baseball cards :barf: ? Man that was nasty :thumbdn: Bazooka Joe...excellent ;)

You also forgot to add Hubba Bubba Bubble Gum. :(

Hubba Bubba didn't showup until I was older and past the bubble gum stage.

Hi All-

Bazooka Joe has the classic flavor I love best from years gone by. A close runner-up would be Bubble Yum and then followed by Bubblicious.

Do they still make Big League Chew, or did the democrats ban that already?

Or the old gold coloured nuggets that came in a little gold dust bag? Don't remember the name, but it was great gum.

Agreed, the gum that came in card packs bit really big. Nasty flavor, and usually crunchy.

Bazooka was it. Had a store that sold it 2 for a cent.

I'd really hate it when you'd carry it in your pocket all day (or for a couple days) and the paper would weld to the gum and take 10 minutes to peel off.

Miss that Bazooka flavor.

(p.s. Bazooka was the product, Bazooka Joe was a comic character...)

I don't know why, but I always liked the gum that came in baseball card packs (Tops). People hate it because it's all hard and crunchy, but that's why I liked it. There was something satisfying about biting into it, having it break into a bunch of pieces between your teeth, but slowly turning into regular chewing gum. Heck, I was almost buying baseball cards just for the gum. Nobody ever marketed/sold rock-hard bubble gum 'scept baseball cards.

I forgot about the nuggets. They where pretty cool, but there where never enough of them for good chewing it seemed.

Yes, I really liked the gold nuggets, that was one of my favorites! I think you can still find them today.
I also liked fruit stripes.
I think my favorite was big league chew, though.

I seem to recall you needed to eat about 10 pieces of flat stuff to get a good wad going :(
