Which kind to do like best?

We owned a grocery during the depression . I ran the cigarette & candy counter. We didn't run numbers but did have illegal punchboards . Who'd arrest a wee kid? Most cops looked the other way or played themselves .

Fleers,I believe, put out a flat sheet of bubblegum the size of a baseball card but inserted pictures of Japanese atrocities in China .Bombing of Shanghi, rape of Nanking, live ,bound Chinese used for bayonet practice.... "Man's inhumanity...."

Double bubble was my favorite & now & then you'd get a particullary good lump & wrap it in wax paper for the next day. Quality control wasn't great then & a lot of gums were tough as rawhide.

Uncle [ those were the days...] Alan :D

Hubba Bubba. Bazooka is AWFUL. It tastes bad, it's too hard, and you can't blow bubbles or else you're picking gum off your face for days. Hubba Bubba owns ALL gum, especially he Bubble Chug (you pour powder in your mouth, chew, and get gum)

Was the fruit stripe gum always called that??

I seem to remember some other name when it came out inthe 60's, and there were multiple coloured animals that advertised it.

Also liked Clark's Teaberry gum too. Seems no one remembers the Teaberry Shuffle.....

AAAAAAAAAA the power of Fruit strip gum:thumbup:

Anyone ever try Black Cat bubble gum in Canada. It had a Licorice flavor and was black.

I remember the Fruit Stripe gum, it was sold with wrappers that were water based tattoos. I think they still sell it that way, but I'm not sure.

I've had the Teabery gum but don't remember the Teaberry shuffle, what was that? Was there a commercial? I didn't really care for the gum.

I've had the Black cat gum here in the states, the Cigar store/ Candy shop around the corner from me when I was a kid back in Chicago used to sell it.

I also used to like the hard bubble come that came with various trading cards too, how sick!!!

I used to really like Big League chew as well :D

How about Razzles, I just saw a movie that had Razzles in it but can't remember the name of it. I think it was Thirtysomething???
