I have both the 102 and 105 and both are great, but the 102 is just the perfect knife imo. The knife fits perfectly into your hand, it's balanced and the knife is the perfect fixed blade edc, and you can use it for skinning/gutting if needed. I cannot say enough good things about the 102 woodsman.

Stick with a Buck, it won't let you down.

Would cooking oil work to keep the edge rust free on a bk17 or is that a bad choice?

Got my bk17! And its great! Fit and finish is spot on, and its the sharpest knife I've ever got! The coating feels like sand paper but since its for edc its not bad. I'm in love with it ka bar, Mr Becker, job well done!
