Which one of these knife photos do you like?

I think they are all really good. I'd go with # 2 in the first and second sets as my favorites.

Dave,

What a great ruse..... ;)  He he he, asking about photo quality to get the WHOLE WORLD to study your lovely knife.... :p

I'm going to remember this one.... Nice.

Hey!! Knock it off Coop, this was a sincere cry for help. My wife's away and she's trained me so well that I'm now incapable of making important decisions by myself :D

Kieth, I have your beautiful avatar knife as my computer desktop, the photo could use some work but it's not bad  :p

The second set of photos printed out o.k. so I'll use one of them

Thanks again,
Dave

The last set is definitely stand-out. I can see what you were trying to do with the two-tone photo, but I think because the background 'slices' right where the blade meets the handle, I think it interrupts the general flow of the knife, as if the blade is separate from the handle, which is what makes the blade look less impressive. I would have said overall the board background is the best also, but I think you need to be careful about that notch in the boards in the 1.1 and 2.1; it's distracting at the risk of making the photo look less than professional.

Thank you for pointing this out ThreeWorlds!! The photo will be used in a brochure I'm making for the Knifemakers Guild show this year. Issues permitting, it'll be my first show and hopefully become a new Guild member so I want everything to be as professional as possible. I never noticed or gave it a thought but you're absolutely right, now my eye is immediately drawn to that stupid knot hole!

2.2 it is

Personally, I still really like the last one. I'd recommend seeing if you can fade the last picture out.

This is great! I'm glad I asked for opinions from you guys, I never would've thought about fading or other edge effects to save an otherwise decent photo  Thanks Walking Man
