Which one should be the "user"?

Recently acquired both a large 21 double thumb stud and a 25.

Both are flawless and new, but really can only stomach making one of them a user. From a resell perspective, value which makes more sense to keep perfect? Or should I say the hell with it and rotate on both to the rotation?

I am greatly experienced with Sebbies. You should keep the large 21 and sell me the large 25. Joke...
Actually, to be a bit more on point, I would think that a few days rotation with each one should (?) tell you which one you prefer. The other you can "safe" or sell or whatever. It's never a good idea to sell Sebbies. I have sold a lot...to my detriment.
I'm glad you have both; that should be a fun time for you. I am envious and happy for you.
Sonnydaze :)

A used 21 would be harder to sell than a new one. Even a used 25 should be really easy to sell since everyone wants to try one and since they can't get them as easily right now, so i would say use the 25.

Use the one you like most. The depreciation on either is negligible IMO but the enjoyment you get is what counts the most.

I say rotate them both I do and if you really have to pick one I say use the 25 i end up carrying it more than my 21.

Good input here folks. I really appreciate the feed back. I have a zaan that is currently on pocket duty. I will keep mulling it over.

Can't beat the 25.

I didn't think that they could improve on the 21, but the 25 is more solid, smooth and fits the hand better.

Not sure if it has to do with the new blade grind, but it cuts better and stays sharper longer than any 21 that I've had.

I say use them both. You are not likely to get full retail price even on a mint 21 so resell to me is a moot point. Plus I have a hard time just looking at a $400+ knife and not wanting to put it in my pocket.

I like the idea of trying them both. As mentioned above by PAZach, it is unlikely you can get full price for a mint 21 anyway, so why not try it and enjoy using it some? With the 25, they are in such high demand right now that it won't matter if you use it or not, you can still get full price (or very close) if you sell it. So, I'd use them both and decide which you like better. As I see it, you really don't have anything to lose. And you will get the chance to get to know the pro's and con's (?) of both knives.

In the end, I hope you decide to keep them both because you can never have too much CRK goodness! Enjoy 'em!

Use both. Definitely. You'll appreciate the one you "choose" more and have less sellers remorse in the future. It's really impossible to form an opinion on a knife without real carry, use sharpening & cleaning.

Exactly.

My vote is to keep both and rotate between them until one takes over. Then decide what to do with the other one, or 5, you'll have bought more by then ;P

I can say I really like how quickly I can clean my 21. The blade assembly slides out with one screw. I really do like the 25's other design features. Definitely a tough call without carrying and using the knife.

I'm a big Insingo fan, so for me it's easy to stick with the 21 for the time being.

Did we ever find out if the 21's are being discontinued in favour of the 25? Because if that happens in time the 21's will fall into the same category as the regular Sebenza. Just a thought.

To Frontline: I think there's a ton of "21's" out there. We'll be long gone before they are as hot as Regulars are now.
IMO

There use to be a ton of regulars too. ;)

Though they will probably never be as hot as the regulars are now, they will definitely IMHO hold a premium once they are discontinued and a few years have gone by. Especially the non stamped S30V ones.

Given enough time it's bound to happen.
