Which one should be the "user"?

Use the one you like most. The depreciation on either is negligible IMO but the enjoyment you get is what counts the most.

Thats what I would do.
I prefer the pivot, handle, and thinner blade stock of the 21 myself. You need to go with the one you like the best.

There use to be a ton of regulars too. ;)

Though they will probably never be as hot as the regulars are now, they will definitely IMHO hold a premium once they are discontinued and a few years have gone by. Especially the non stamped S30V ones.

Given enough time it's bound to happen.

True. It depends on when you may sell one of them. If its soon a 25 will sell for more. If its years down the road I would think the 21 would.

There is no point in owning a knife you won't use! I might understand a work of art, but both of these knives were meant to be users. I don't understand laying out 400-500 bucks to put the knife back with the hope in 10 years it might be worth a few hundred more. Even if it doubled in value, you are talking about 50 bucks a year, or less than a dollar a week. For that rate of return I'd use it the knife and be happy.

My vote also goes for use the both - and then tell us the differences.
That my help others in the future.

I've found I get very much out of a knife I use.
There are some safe queen's too in my live, but nothing compares to pick up a blade that has some scuffs and brings back memories....
The use realy makes it your knife - that's a fact even your desendents may apprechiate.

You gotta be a young guy to take advantage of it, but I agree.

Which one feels the best to you? Which one looks better? They both are mighty fine users so I think the answer lies in these type questions.
I know my favorite user is a well worn small Sebenza that just is comfortable to fondle.

rotate them both, you'll eventually end using one more but keep them both in rotation
life is short and you worked to buy them!
