This is one of those which one should I buy threads. Below is the list of a few knives I have been wanting for awhile. Please stick to the few on the list, I have a long want list and these have been on it for awhile, So it will be one of these. Its not for any perticular use. I have knives to cover all uses. This is just to cross one I have been wanting off the list!! Here they are:

-(on its way)Kershaw Rainbow Leek
-(on its way)BM Switchback
-(on its way)Cuda Maxx
-CRKT Wasp (Full Size PE)
-CRKT M18
-(on its way)Delta Z Osprey with Maple Scales
-American Tomahawk Brend

Which one do you guys think should be added to the collection first and why?? Thanks

(LIST HAS BEEN EDITED. KIWI WAS REMOVED DUE TO SIZE AND CUDA MAXX ADDED)

I'd go with the Benchmade Switchback, because I would like to try S30V without buying a brand new Sebenza.

hmmm...that Osprey with Maple scales....or track down the one with the Damascus blade

for some reason I do like that Osprey with Maple.
Gonna have to add one to my collection someday...

Get that Switchback. I played with one the other day. If it wasn't for my Balisong addiction I would have bought it in a heart beat. It kicks major ass.

Saw your edit...I love the look and design of the CUDA Maxx, but it is just so big that I couldn't see myself actually carrying it.

Although, you say you don't need one for EDC, but I wouldn't really buy a knife that wasn't at least capable of being carried.

Actually thats why the Cuda was added. I like larger knives for carry. About as small as I will go is 3 1/2" blade for an EDC and the Cuda's 5" is perfect!! Wouldn't want one much bigger though. :)

I'd go with the M18. Aluminum and G-10 handles, an AUS8 blade and don't forget about the Carson flipper, all for a price that won't make you shy away from putting this baby to hard use. And that recurve makes the M18 one hell of a cutting blade. Admittedly, the more exotic S30V blade on the BM Switchback has a certain added appeal, but at $170 ($100 more than the M18  ), I don't know if I could bring myself to actually use the darn thing.

Well, since you already have knives to cover all uses, I would get the ATC Brend.

Actually, I have had my eye on an ATC hawk myself for awhile.

btw - heres a quote from Andy Prisco that I read a few days ago, loved it!! Just substitute the Brend Hatchet for Next Generation Tomahawk.

we can accept a limited number of orders to be delivered on or about Christmas DAY!!!

Imagine it...the crisp, cool air. You stand before your target, in your new Robe and Mocs from the wife, enjoying that imported Cigar....the sheeple neighbors safely tucked away in their living rooms behind frosted windows....while YOU, standing against the elements....wind up, pitch, and hurl your NEW, shaving sharp Next Generation Ranger Tomahawk through the air, resulting in a satisfying "THUD"!!!

Torquing the handle, you pry the embedded 01 cutting edge from the wood..noticing the airtight handle/head juncture and shaving some hair from your forearm to test the edge...you turn....walk back to your one spin distance mark in the earth (cigar smoke circling your head like a Chinook landing in the desert)only to turn again, puff, face your target, and do it again while your neighbors peer through the glass in fright!!!!

Yes...this CAN BE YOU that day!!!!

Hey BG we are in the same boat my friend. About 3.5" is the smallest blade I want in my pocket and really prefer a 4 to 4.25 inch blade. The Cuda Maxx is easily the best buy in the group listed. Titanium that is anodized, frame lock, D2 steel, 5.5" blade, pocket clip for pocket carry..........etc. etc. I was amazed at how easily the Cuda Maxx is to carry. The handle slabs are flat and it just lies in your pocket with noone the wiser until YOU let them know it is there.

Definately go with the MAXX.............you will not regret the decision.

We didn't even get into the opening issues and how this is one of the fastest knives around while at the same time being one of the strongest knives available. Darrell has said that this knife was made to be flipped and flipped hard. Was also made to stand up to most anything you could throw at it without the blade ever closing until you do the closing.

Again, the MAXX..............DEFINATELY the Maxx!!

Ok, as of 2 minutes ago I am now a proud owner of the Delta Z Maple Osprey, So if you guys can pick from the remaining 6 that will determine whats next to scratch off the list. That Maple Scale Osprey has been on there for a long time. I can't wait till it arrives.:D :D :D :D

Ok The Switchback is on its way to me. So let me know what you guys think of the last 5 on the list!!:D I would love to see this thread die down with me owning all of them. But I don't see that happening

Well for gods sake edit it with a (on its way) next to the Kershaw Rainbow Leek TBG, Onion's are way cool and it's my pick out of the whole bunch, pun intended! hehe

I'm trying; I'm Trying, Believe me :D I was in negotiations, however, I think that route failed, so I am off to find more possibilities as far as taking a leek :D

Got the Delta Z today and I wouldn't be lying if I said it rivals my BM 690 in every aspect!!! Very happy with this one. I have my sites already set on a Cuda and plan on having it on its way this upcoming week. I got side tracked and end up buying a few I wasn't planning on.

So the45guy, If you ever considered getting the Red Maple Delta Zm GET IT!!!:)

thanks for the info sir .

Yup , just added it to my Christmas list....if the wife don't get it for me.....I think it will be a self gift .

Email me and let me know where you got yours from if you don't mind.

Thanks !

Can you post (or email) pics of the red maple?

You said it rivals your 690...if you could only have one, which one would you take? Why?

Ok, here is the one side. Sorry about the quality, just scanned and size has been reduced. Both are MINT and spots are fuzz and etc..

More to come:(
