Which One Should I Choose?

I'm not sure which knife to pick out of these to: Cold Steel Code 4 Spearpoint or the CRKT Ripple

I know they are two completely different knifes but which one would you pick?
 
Get the one you like more. WE dont know what qualities you like in a knife.

I am beginning to suspect you don't either. May I suggest, instead of creating all these threads: 1) buying SOMETHING and using it to start understanding what you like; and 2) read more to see why others appreciate the characteristics they do.
 
Which ripple? The liner lock or framelock, and cts xhp on the code 4? Steel wise the cold steel is far superior, and it's a much stronger knife. Both are thin, ripple is lighter and not as broad, and IMO the code 4 is more slippery and it's harder to deploy.
 
Get the Cold Steel. It has the superior lock and steel. It is easy to fix if it is too slippery for you. Engraving or skateboard tape.
 
Personally I dislike cold steel. For me, it comes down to the fact that all the models I've tried, require an obnoxious amount of force to open the blades. Mainly due to their triad lock. Which is superb-but I prefer something I can open with one hand without flicking my wrist. As for crkt, I've handled an m16 and I just feel like their quality is down. They have innovative designs, but they use low quality steel and their ergos just aren't there for me. For me, I'm mostly a Spyderco person. You can get $30 blades or $300 blades and be happy either way. I also like kershaw.

But in the end it's always up to you! Good luck choosing
 
I would get the one you like the look of the best. Makes no difference what I think. Get it, use it, and form your own impressions. Don't like it, get another.

I don't buy Cold Steel knives and own a couple of CRKT ones that are rather specialized (razels). The only Cold Steel product I own is a sword. Got that out of my system.
 
I own both, actually, 3 counting the large and small ripple. It pains me to sound so much like Marci :eek:, but they are so very different it would depend on what you want it for. I REALLY like all three :thumbup: but not for the same reasons. These questions remind me of someone asking "should I get a Busse Battle Mistress or a Case peanut?" :rolleyes:
