Which one should I mod? If Ducchi can do it......

New grinder, crazy ideas...where to start??? :D:D
My buddy just made me a solid Billet Aluminum KMG clone. It is sweet so far.:thumbup:
Time to mod something. :D

They both look a bit sharp, grind the edges down so you don't hurt yourself :D
 
That is so sweet,, I fight battles with rust on mine,, I need to pull her apart and make her combat grade,, but,, who has the time,,

I am envious on all 3 items, but you can send one of the BAs and then I promise I won't invade Canada.;):D

Only you are going to notice the slack belt LOL. yes i was hooking up a bigger 2hp motor and i need differant bolts to mount it. I'll pick those up today.

here's another shot. you can see the platen and small wheels i have for it. 1",2" and 3" plus the main 10" wheel.
Everything is Alum except the hardened steel rotating shafts. Some Alumn is anodized and some is powdercoated and some is raw.

I think you are going to want a 1/2" small wheel also for the tight radii on the inside of handles. Can you adjust the angle on the platen you have attached now? I have one of the MAP Arms from Adam Michael and really like it.

Good idea on the 1/2" wheel I will try and get one. I'll have to try and get my buddy to make me one since the boys at KMG will not sell into Canada. Thats what started all this in the first place. Still not sure why they won't ship here. ?

Im just looking at variable speed ac controllers now, I tink the one I want is the KB # KBAC-27D. its $436 cnd here where i am. pretty pricey unless someone else can hook me up?
 
Here's a design with several components I have always loved from other knives over the years..plus some other things for practice on some inexpensive steel.

How does you friend put the rubber on the aluminum wheel if he is making them?

Are you looking for a VFD for a 3 phase motor? If so, I think I paid around $250 for mine. I'll look it up for the brand and price then let you know. It is so much better with the variable speed control! :eek:
