Which one should I mod? If Ducchi can do it......

How does you friend put the rubber on the aluminum wheel if he is making them?

Are you looking for a VFD for a 3 phase motor? If so, I think I paid around $250 for mine. I'll look it up for the brand and price then let you know. It is so much better with the variable speed control!

.

This is the one im looking at the KBAC-27D http://www.kbelectronics.com/catalog_nema_4x_ac.htm

"The KBAC-27D, Adjustable Frequency Drive is housed in a NEMA-4X/IP-65 wash-down watertight enclosure. It is designed to operate 208/230 Volts, 50/60Hz, 3 Ø AC induction motors used for Machine or Variable Torque (HVAC) applications. It operates from 115 or 208/230 Volts, 50/60Hz, single phase AC input. Standard features include; Digital Programming, Adjustable RMS Current Limit, I2t prevents Motor Burnout, Slip Compensation with Auto-Tune & Boost provides excellent load regulation over a 60:1 speed range, Power Start™ delivers over 200% motor starting torque to ensure startup of high frictional loads. Other standard features include; Run/Fault Relay Output Contacts, Electronic Inrush Current Limit (EICL™) that eliminates harmful AC Line inrush currents. Also provided are two diagnostic LEDs. Linear Acceleration and Deceleration make the drive suitable for soft-start applications and JOG. Standard front panel features include; a Start/Stop Switch, and a Main Speed Potentiometer."

its for an 115v AC motor single phase. I have 220 but no 3 phase in my shop.

My buddy turns the blank and sends it to this rubber shop that Vulcanizes on the rubber and then when he gets it back he machines it true in his lathe.

.

I only have single phase in my shop also, but the VFD converts it to 3 phase and runs the 220v, 2 hp 3 phase motor on my KMG. I did the same on my 5 hp 3 phase metal lathe :D

.

Yeah... um... that is cool and all. But I have one of these...:p I hope I have not made you envious ;) :D.

You guys make my brain hurt with all this talk about phase's and HP and stuff.:o
