Which one to send to the spa?

I also have a box of stuff headed to the shop. I'm adding liners to a mbc, to my cpaba, and a regrind and rehandlen something not to be mentioned on public forums:eek:
edit me if i've said too much.

Brother, that is not always 100% either cause mostly what you can test is the edge and its usually high polished and that can give a false reading. SOmetimes the thickness will help give you a clue too. How thick or thin is it?

Both are a hair over 1/4"

I do not have digital calipers, but both are the same thickness, and the "lines" are not perfectly in line, but jut touch on the edges.

Just like the rerelease original AKs are A2. I see no harm in a birds beak steel heart. Some new slabs, maybe tequila smooth contour with solid bolts

Ohhhhh all the possibilities with that knife.

I am not fond of the Tequila grips. Once I get a price from the shop I'll decide if I'm going to do one or both.

But, it will be the bruiser handles and DCBB blade.

I use lemon juice or vinegar. The edge area to be tested needs the same level of polishing, though. Thats easy enough, take an arkansas stone to a small area of the blade on each, put a little vinegar on each. Let them sit a few minutes and the diff between a2 and infi will be obvious.

Thanks Jody - I got some lemon juice today and just tried that.

I can see no difference in the edge after about 5 minutes letting a few drops of juice sit on the blades.

I'll wait and see if/when I send them in, but looks like the BB may be INFI.
