So I'm in a predicament, I am trading a sage 3 spyderco (I love the knife, just trying other stuff) and I have 2 offers that I really like! I have never owned a benchmade, so I kinda like that trade, but I haven't owned a manix, and this one has glowing scales and bling! Wwjd? Help guys!

Of those two knives I would definitely take the Manix. I mean both knives are very similar in shape, lock, and everything. However I think the Manix has a better blade geometry and of the two is the higher value knife. Their locks while different, are virtually identical in practice. (I know the axis lock is smoother and easier to pull back due to less spring tension.)

Bot come on, glowing scales? You'll regret it if you don't take that.

Is that a full size or mini grip? If it's a mini, I'd take it. If not, I'd take the manix.

I don't like the full size griptilian, but love the mini. I carried one yesterday in fact. Today though, I'm carrying a Manix 2 lw.

Thanks for the input guys, the grip is a full size. And I just got another offer!

What steel is on the Grip?
What do you do for a living/how would the knife be used?

Manix definitely over the Grip. I love my Benchmades but my Manix 2s are probably my favorite Spydercos.
I have a 746 too (that's the Lum model number if I remember right). It's a neat knife but I'd still do the Manix with custom scales.

I would still take the Manix over the grip or the Lum Onslaught. First off the Manix carries deeper in the pocket due to its wire style deep carry clip. The Manix is just one of the best Spydercos ever. I think the you will find the Manix way nicer than a plasticy grip. Not that the grip is bad, just that in my opinion the Manix is a nicee knife.

As for the Lum Onslaught; I think it is more in the league of the Manix. However the onslaught has that goofy clip and isn't deep carry at all.

Ok so it's down to the glow manix and this sprint run not sure which has more value although I like the glow one.

What is the steel on the orange Manix? If it's going to be a user knife go for the glowing one. If it is a collecting knife and the orange one has a rare or in demand steel go for that one.

In truth all these 4 are great knives, there really is no wrong choice.

Both of the Manixs' are S30V, so from a performance standpoint, they are the same.

Keep in mind that the glow has been disassembled and this puts your warranty in jeopardy. If this is going to be a user, this alone would make my decision for me.

That being said, I am a steel nut, and if the Grip had an upgraded alloy, that would be my choice.
If it was 154cm, d2, or s30v then I would take the Orange manix or the Lum.

Well I decided on the glow manix, but the guy hasn't responded! [emoji52]So if that keeps up it may be the orange one
