Which one?

Eye of beholder i guess, then. I disagree completely, as long as it's stainless. I thought all they did was carbon steel. Just found out these are Marcus balbach stainless Damascus. Now I'm back in. I was thinking of buying both, but am really trying not to be so wasteful and duplicating things unnecessarily like I always do. Thanks for the input.
Not for nothing but they have the look like of $50 ebay knife from Pakistan.....

I kind of figured that's what people were thinking of them. I can see why, but I definitely see more than that. It's the blade that looks off, the Damascus pattern almost looks fake, like a faint DIY mustard etch.

For something different, go look at an Allen Davis knife. He does locking blades. For slip joints, T.A. Davison

Too much to you guys is just right for me, it seems. 😆 🤣 So matter of perception in the end. Either way I'll try to dial it back.

I vote the red one, but I did find it strange that they both have bolsters on the tail and nothing at the pivot? The red one just has a bit more character and the thumbstud matches in part with the red scales.
But without knowing the makers of these and how the damascus is, it does make you want to wait until you have that information to choose if either one would be a good knife to have and use.
