Depends on what your EDC chores are. What does the knife have to do? If you need "extra" tough, the G10 D4 is probably better. If yoiu want some "finesse" with your normal amount of tough... the Caly 3 should do fine.
Honestly, I haven't found anything that my D4 (FRN version) will do that my Caly 3 won't do, but the G10 D4 does seem to be a slightly more robust package overall.

Not quite, the blade of D4G10 is thinner than the Caly3. The answer is to get both
