SFO Mini Trapper, Dan Burke Mini Trapper, or a Queen whittler. Which would you choose?

Is the Queen SFO the one with the 1095 blades? If so I'll take that one.

Of those choices, if the Dan Burke is a Queen collaboration with 12C27 steel, I would vote for that. I recently picked up the Queen/Dan Burke stockman with the same steel. Beautiful knife, the 12C27 sharpens nicely and holds an edge.

Cheese and chalk........
A mini-trapper and whittler are so different!

Do you already have a Whittler or a mini-trapper?
If so go with the one you do not have.

Then choice between the Burke/Queen and the Queen SFO carbon is really hard.
I have a stockman and 1/2 Whittler by Burke/Queen and they are very good quality with a good Sandvik steel, but will not patina.
I am not fond of the blades on the mini trapper being the same length, I much prefer a dogleg jack. And do not find the long spey of that useful, not quite long enough for food prep.

I have a Queen CSB Whittler. The main blade is quite thick and the smaller blades are like scalpes.
I prefer the Whittler as a knife because of the very stout main blade and the very different shape blades.

But on the other hand, the Queen SFO will not be around for long......

I'm not crazy for whittlers. The two smaller blades tend to be a bit less sturdy than say a stockman. go for the trapper.

Good stuff so far ya'll. The SFO seems to be getting alot of love, so does the whittler. I have a full size trapper, but I plan on giving it to a friend for Christmas so I will say I have neither the trapper nor the whittler. I'll let this one go for today and maybe till wednesday of next week and then I'll choose the winner.

I guess I'm in there with the majority, voted for the whittler. I've always been a sucker for a whittler pattern, just love the looks of them. I also really like the combination of blades, and this one with the pen I believe is my favorite version.
Great combination for all kinds of daily tasks and of course for whittling.

Can't go wrong there.

Sorry, I have never handled any of them or taken the time to find photos of them on forum so voted other. If I had pics of them to choose it would just be a 'if I had too' choice. 300Bucks
