Which ones do you truly regret not buying at the time...

Lum chinese, I don't know if I would even carry it. and a few more guntings.

I would like to have obtained an Elishewitz Spike, the one without the extra lock switch (I'm having deja vu -- did I post that before?), and also a bunch more Benchmades that had the Spyderco-licensed hole...

I'd like to have gotten a Dyad.

edit: oops, I think it's a "Centofante Spike" that I was thinking of.

Wait, is there a spike-like triangular knife by Elishewitz/Benchmade, as well as the Spyderco Centofante? I can't remember now.

Now that I'm looking at that link (thank you for that), I am in love with the Tim Zowada (C56)! Holy moly that is one hot-lookin' knife!!

A small Sebenza with a BG-42 blade.
The point is a BG-42 steel. CR produces Sebenzas with a S30V steel only.
I was too late.
I would buy a new Sebenza and change it for a BG-42 one.
Why?
Because I think a BG-42 steel is the best american ingot steel.
I own SOG's X-42 Field knife and X-42 folder with BG-42.
The folder, although very nice, has a blade play (very anoying).

I wish I would have gotten a Gerber BMF w/o sawteeth, original spec-war fixed blade and a Al Mar Applegate-Fairbairn knife with either a titan wood or lexan handle.:(

...REKAT Pocket Hobbit folders (with the lock on the tang) back when they were $125.00

...early SOG #'d edition knives with the leather and wood handles

...the Buck Sawby folders when they first were around

...a Cold Steel prototype knife with a kris blade I could have had for $200.00

...years ago there was a John Nelson Cooper knife that sold on eBay for $60.00 and I forgot to bid on it :(

...and a whole bunch of Spydies!!!!!!

I regrete that in around 1970 I didn't purchase a Bob Loveless hunter for $150.00 because I thought that was a stupid price to pay for a knife.

Case V-42 re-issues.
Make that Case brand comemorative replicas circa 1990's.
Spyderco Shabaria.

This is what happens when you're been drawn a short straw from day one - it's always been a day late & a whole lo of dollars short. That's the story of my life it seems.

Old Timer Stockman. Before Schrade closed its doors you could go to any Wal-Mart and pick one out for twenty bucks and change. These days you have to go on Ebay and take your chances and even then there are no guarantees that the blades are 1095.

The knife I wish I had bought is the Busse Mean Street. I think it a practical knife that would would have worn frequently. Currently I carry a Dozier Agent in a horizontal sheath. The Agent is a great little knife.

Benchmade 710 HS

I settled for a 154CM version and do not feel the HS is worth the current price and time spent to find one.

I was lucky enough to get an 806D2 for $120 just before they became hard to find.
