Hi all,

Production Knives Only

If you would buy 5 knifes today in each price bracket below, which ones would you buy?

Between $20 - $50
Between $51 - $100
Between $101 - $150
Between $151 - $200
Between $201 – $1000

Curious to see the results?

I dunno about 5 at once. However, at this point I'm pretty much locked into buying knives at the 100+ bracket (and usually the 200+ bracket). Of course, I'm not a teenager with a limited income, and I've been thoroughly corrupted by the nice knives I own to the point where I have a tough time seriously considering anything that's not that expensive. If I can stop spending money on Gun Hammers and Beckers, my next purchase will probably be a ZT 560 or an Umnum. That's just folders though. I obviously still buy Beckers, which are generally not in the 100+ bracket, although I don't buy that many fixed blades since I can generally make the ones I want for myself.
 
20-50 Spyderco tenacious or delica on exchange
51-100 Spyderco Yojimbo 2
100-150 Spyderco Caly 3.5
150-200 Spyderco Chokwe
200+ Chris Reeve Large Seb 21

I have decided to just buy spydercos and maybe once every 2 years a Chris Reeve (that is just folders for me)

150-200-ZT 0550
201-1000-Strider SMF, ZT 0560, Hinderer XM-18

201-1000- CRK Sebenza, Hinderer XM-18, ZT 0561, 0560, Strider SMF, Benchmade 42
 
If I were buying today...

Between $20 - $50 - a Kershaw Skyline
Between $51 - $100 - a Spyderco Manix (dont know which flavor)
Between $101 - $150 - Doug Ritter mini RSK MK1
Between $151 - $200 - Spyderco Para sprint
Between $201 – $1000 - something custom
 
Between $20 - $50 - ESEE Izula
Between $51 - $100 - Spyderco Manix 2
Between $101 - $150 - Black Jack Knives Halo 14 boot knife
Between $151 - $200 - nothing
Between $201 – $1000 - definitely nothing.

I wouldn't spend more than 150 on a production knife. That's just me though. If you said custom, that all changes.

EDIT: Actually, do midtechs still count as production? If so, I'd throw an HTM Gunhammer in there of course.

Between $151 - $200: Benchmade 730
Between $201 – $1000: CRK LH Umnumzaan

Out of all of those, the one would be the 730. CRK doesn't make blades in M390 :D

just bought a grayman dua thats on the way to me as we speak...got the carbon fiber version

I own some of the above but still need to get more!

20-50: cryo or blue delica
51-100: boa mc or cold steel srk
101-150: esee 6 or zt 0200
151-200: zt 0550 or buck strider
201-1000- something expensive, sexy, and Damascus!:-)
