Rat 1 with PE, tan or green handles.
Manix with blue handle

I don't buy knives that cost more than $105 or $110.
 
50-100 BK9,5,16 ect.
100-150 Custom Buck 110
150-200 Custom Buck fixed blade
200+ Busse
300-500 A custom fixed from a lot of people on your custom list.
 
Between $20 - $50..... SAK, maybe Case
Between $51 - $100.... Kershaw, Buck, Becker, Leatherman, GEC
Between $101 - $150... Spyderco, ESEE, Moki
Between $151 - $200... Benchmade, Spyderco, Mcusta, maybe Kershaw and a few Emersons
Between $201+........... Depends (but I'd consider going custom at this price range)

Between $101 - $150: spyderco military
Between $151 - $200: Zt 0550
Between $201 – $1000: Hinderer xm 24
 
I'll play. I'm more of a Fixed blade type though.

Between $20 - $50 = Bucklite Max large
Between $51 - $100 = Ontario Gen2 SP 51
Between $101 - $150= Esee 6
Between $151 - $200 = Fallkniven S1
Between $201 – $1000 = Koster Bushmaster

I own all these knives already.

Assuming these five knives I choose are not my first or last knives ever...

51-100: A mini Griptillian with oran-OH wait, that doesn't exist
101-150: A mini Griptillian with orange handles and S30V blade (overpriced, but i think it's cool)
151-200: Benchmade 940, Spyderco Sage 2, Techno
201+: XM-18 with 3" blade

Definitely have more on a list, but the ones I listed are the ones I'd be cool having at this very moment.

You can grab em for around $230 at the lowest I've seen, and you get a slab of g-10, titanium, and a solid hunk of 3v steel. I think its reasonably priced.
 
Do you all think the Tuff is too expensive for what you get?

It's not too expensive. One popular dealer has it for $225, and at that price it's a steal compared to other large, strong Ti frame lock knives. You probably don't see it because it's a specialty piece, not a design made for a large audience. If you made this same thread for fixed blades, you wouldn't see Spyderco's Warrior, since it's another specialty piece.
 
well the tuff is in the $200+ range, and as kreole said it wasn't made for a large audience. The $200+ range is really vague and there's many knives people would prefer than the tuff. If you added at $200-300 range, and then a $300 plus range, I'm sure you may get some individuals mentioning the tuff
