***Which online knife store has the absolute lowest prices???

Ninefingers, they are supplied for free with priority mail shipping, but Mike doesn't usually use priority mail. He uses UPS. I have asked him before to send US mail, and he sent my last US mail package in the Tyvek soft sleeve and my EDI box ended up looking like he had spent an hour playing football with it.

Ok Mike, I'll start an argument for ya.

Here goes...

Damn You Mike, you ruin the entire knife industry...you bastard...I blame you and your little dog Toto "Spark" too. I mean, crap, it's first one thing, and then another out of you people.

Ha ! aren't you glad summer's about over Mike !

Friend,

John

I used to get lots of stuff delivered via UPS in those USPS priority mail boxes that had been folded inside out, so they were plain brown. The last time I used one, I noticed that they're now printing USPs (or something) on the inside.

1Stop doesn't export, and with our customs I'm not sure what the savings would be. Over here, a Leatherman Wave works out at $120-140; with 4% import tax and 17.5 VAT. For more expensive stuff there would definately be some savings, but for those purchases I'll save for when I'm over in the States.

I generally support my local gunshop. There are not that many left over here, and those we do have struggle to keep their heads above water. The down point is that the selection is rather limited. If you want something local you have to support it, which means paying for it.

I all too often used to spend a tenner in order to save a fiver. The ways to do this is to buy unseen or spend too much time/money on shopping around. That the knife comes from a volume manufacturer doesn't mean that you needn't handle it and give it a once over. Window shopping is not free.

If we all agree that those providing this forum are giving sterling service then our only concern should be that it keeps going.

Yeah, okay Chief, I misquoted. I wrote what I remembered and I "misremembered" it.
I didn't THINK I was sticking up for Mike, (Don't feel much need to, he's the guy with the "Lock" and "Delete" buttons at his command.) I just wondered where your apparent "Vigor" was coming from. Your response seemed (to me at least) to be disproportionate to the situation.

I also didn't think I was being argumentative.
My apologies for any misunderstanding, the views here are not necessarilly those of the author unless his wife tells him they are, etc.

Lowest price on ANYTHING does not automatically equate to the best VALUE..

If service is not a consideration you can be left "holding the bag".

p.s. I wonder where that expression originates? hmmm.....anybody?

Meaning no disrespect to our host I must say that Northwest Cutlery has been very good to this knife knut. Steve And Leslie Ireland are very personable to deal with and prompt with e-answeres. Additionally they are a "official" Benchmade dealer. A seemingly small thing but not so when waiting on 42's or Osbornes (both of which I have obtained from NWC). They have matched prices of other dealers for me....Steve Ireland if your reading this send me something cool....and I've always felt confident that I was dealing with proffesional people who care. They can be found at www.nwcutlery.com.
Thank You Steve and Leslie,
chet

There's a ton of great dealers out there - but like the people have said above, we strongly encourage you to support the banner advertisers because without them, BladeForums.com would not be open.

Heck, everytime you place an order, let the company know that your found them through BladeForums.com - or are buying from them specifically because they support BladeForums.com, good karma and all that.

Ken,

NP my friend, should have just kept my fingers off the keyboard. Sometimes I get pissy after working 12 hours, some of it in the 104+ degree heat with no rain here in the midwest. Damn I wish it would rain and cool off.

Spark, first Mike and now you...C-H-I-E-F

Hey Mike!
LOL Anyone ever mention that you've got a big mouth?
biggrin.gif

Yeah, I'm keeping a tight hold on THIS one and you were right, I like the silver blade better.
ALSO liked the price a lot too, but by my reckoning, you still owe me six "secret surprises" LOL
Maybe with the NEXT order!

BTW, I've stopped looking at the thermometer, things are no better here in Arkansas and I've been sweating my cojones off at work every night.
(Thank GOD that I don't work first shift!)

Hey Chief,
We cool!

Hey Chief,

Use e-mail???? You mean like you did when you attacked Mike? If you are going to give Ken some advice maybe YOU should lead by example. Here is some free advice for YOU.Don't tear down someone else's business to try and drum up business for your own.In the end, it really makes you look petty. If you need an example of how to run a business, see Jerry Busse.

One thing I can say about you Chief- you got balls the size of churchbells. If your going to come into Mike's house and attack him and then try to weasel out of it by putting some lame smily faces in your post, expect to get dressed down in public. The only thing you should be questioning is why Mike Turber treated you so cordially. But then, he's been down that road before with you and already knows the ending.

>> I am looking the the absolute lowest prices from a reputable online knife store which carries quality tactical folders.

How much do your work for? Every sense I have been in the knive business, I have run into a lot of people who want a rare and unique knife, that no one else has, at a price where I don't make any profit. Even when I was 15, they paid me $2.25 an hour. But now, sometimes I will put a hour into selling a knife that I only make a dollar or two profit on. Exp. on the internet where a unique knife has to be photographed and published, and then lots of personalized service is involved in it's sale and delivery. So, I am willing to work as cheap as you do, but do you work for $2 an hour? Thanks, JohnR7 WWW.BalisongKnife.Com Mary Fa does not charge me though, she works for free
