which Paramilitary 2?

i was just trying to make the same decision so i picked the tan s35vn sprint but then i found out that s35 sucks

S35VN doesn't suck, and is a really good steel. Please don't let that one test from a new tester sway you one bit. It has been tested by others sense , and Sal did a recent CATRA test as well that showed it to be a good steel.

S35V will hold an edge as long as S30V, but is a tougher steel. Of the true stainless steels S35V is about as tough as it gets.

Op, I think the black or Digi looks good. You can't go wrong with either IMO.

There is also an Orange and a brown G10 up for pre order, and a green will come soon. I ordered both, and will order the green as well, but plan on using the Brown S35VN for the toughness of the steel, and ease of sharpening. Heck, I'll more than likely use all of them.

Good luck, and I think you will like love the Para2.

I've heard that with heavy use the digi-cam will show wear since it's just a surface layer on the scales. That won't stop me from getting one, but I prefer my black ones.

I bought the Digi Camo since I was sort of tired of black. However, I'm a bit self-conscious that it gives off a bit of a tactical/hunter look that most of the time I'd prefer not to have. It's a small issue, but all the same I sort of wish I had gone with black. Plus, I paid about $10 more to get the Digi-Camo.

Easy decision for me, I'll be getting the cheaper one. If they both cost the same, then I'd go for the camo because I like variety in my knives. I think that you will become bored with your new knife long before you get bored of the "handle color" or before the handle color starts to show wear...

Get camo if it costs the same/is cheaper - Variety is the spice of life! Not ALL knives come with that kind of choice! Like my favorite right now, the Buck Vantage Pro - I purchased the Black version, so now I want the PM2 in camo. It's that easy.

And I think camo is a timeless color, too... The Spydie hole will become antiquated much earlier than the color camo will. Basically, in this post, I'm trying to get you to purchase a Camo-handled Para 2 because that is the knife I'm pining for. Either way, I hope you enjoy it and please do abuse it.

Black is more towards neutral, but also towards classy.. hence the expression "timeless color".. You'll propably get tired of camo faster than black.. if that makes any sense.

it certainly does to me. i got a digicam para2 for variety because all my other folders are satin/black.
i had the para2 for a few weeks, and sold it. but recently couldnt help ordering an orange para2 :D
i like options of different color just to mix it up, but usually when looking at them side by side, you can never go wrong with black.
the brown, and green are very tempting as well!
and of course black is always the first choice when it comes to my cars, and vehicles.

yeah . Thats one of the reasons i bought the camo version. Sick and tired of looking at all the black knives in collection. I even recently got the blue endura, brown delica, grey el/01, and stayglow fieldmaster sak just to add some color. I do love all my knives though regardless of color.

Hey, I just got a brilliant idea !

Just get the color YOU like best:thumbup:

Can't believe I didn't think of that one sooner.

You might want to make an effort to check your information before making sweeping statements of which you know little to nothing about. Just some advice. ;)

Same as others mentioned, how many blades can one have in Black/G10. That's about 70% of my collection... so I opted for the digi cam/blk. Didn't have the choice for satin blade or I would have went with that. Honestly, if you love the knife, who cares what color it is. You should just buy a para2 because of the amazing knife it is for the money.

Bento Box Shop has the Para 2 in M390 steel. No dog in race. This is the steel that won't get dull before you do. I like G10; any color that has M390 steel.
I'd love one, but hafta sell stuff first.

I want to get the paramilitary 2 but i cant decide which handle scales to get. I want the satin blade but i cant decide which g10 to get. I like both the black and the camo. I got some opinions and it was 50 50 lol not helpful. so can you help me? which handle do you like best? the black or camo g10? thanks!!

Flip a coin.

Nonsense. S35VN holds an edge as well as S30V. Spyderco tested it. Ankerson tested it. I tested it. We all got the same result.

Comments that S35VN is not a fine cutlery alloy are a gross untruth.

there are other vendors on the internets

but I cant actually GO to any of them. but i could go there and look at the digi camo one then if i like it get it and if i dont then buy it on the internet (I havnt actually held one before but I love the design.

I would suggest the black G10. I currently own a Black G10 Spyderco Paramilitary 2 and I find that sometimes camo knives look a little to intimidating if there is any people around you who are knife squeamish around you when you pull it out.
