Which pen to buy after saving up $80?

Vice-president? He won't take anything less than the top spot.

Cross, the Fisher Astronaut, certainly the Bullet pens, are all no good for SD. Poor grip. I recommended the Police Pro/Zero Gravity for MORIMOTOM, because they are great pens, in the field. Good big barrel with rubberized grip, easy click mechanism, strong pocket clip. Not so good for SD. :)

Using a pen for SD by baring the writing point is using it as a stabber, but I'd prefer the cap on, as an impact or control point.

TDP or Hinderer? Perrin. :) Cheaper, too.
(They'll be back in stock soon.)

ive tried the fisher space pens, i think i had the police. is that the one with the three writing options? red/blk/pencil?

ive found the pressurized cartridge to be problematic. oddly, the ones ive had skip and leak. there was always a blob of ink at the end.

ive been using the gel cartridge in a plain metal parker clicker.

i bought the lightfoot because i thought it looked neat and im a bit of a gadget geek. but i really have no use for a pen as sd.

Yeah, Bloomie's ego won't allow him to be second fiddle for long, but he believes he's president already based on his actions. Just ask the gun stores down south.

Stabbing someone with a pen is still stabbing them. It could be construed as using "deadly force" by some pain in the ass ADA bucking for political promotion. Especially in nanny cities like NY, Chicago, etc. This is a big reason why I'm not liking the Benchmade pen. That pointy end can definitely pierce skin. Too bad because I absolutely love my BM707 and think their blue and black box stuff is fantastic.

Perrin huh? Thanks to you I'll have to wait until their back in stock. ;) But the Hinderer XD is also out of stock for now. I was definitely leaning towards the TDP, but now I think I'll let this simmer a bit before pulling the trigger. Rumor has it that Spyderco is making a pen and so is William Henry, so the problem may escalate.

He's an example of the problem. We have a Democrat Party dominated by the extreme left wing, and a Republican Party growing more and more toward the McCain/Bloomberg/Schwartzenegger liberal side, and those of us who are Reagan Conservatives are screwed.

I've was a registered Independent when I voted for Ronald Reagan, and they...the Republicans...have yet to demonstrate a reason for me to switch my registration.

Since Reagan, it has always been a "lesser-of-two-evils" choice. And this year it's an even worse "lesser-of-three" evils.

Oh, and to keep this on topic, I have an Elishewitz and a Hinderer. The Elishewitz is a better pen, and the Hinderer (the titanium kubotan one) is a better weapon (although for $250, it should really do the writing for me).

... a Republican Party growing more and more toward the McCain/Bloomberg/Schwartzenegger liberal side, ...
Bloomberg is a Democrat who ran as a Republican in NYC to avoid the crowded Demo primary. He has since switched back to his lifelong Demo registration.

Go in the phucking political arena and bother the other phucking political phucktards with it! There's a phucking election going on, it's been going on phucking phorever and it'll BE going on phucking phorever and the only phucking place some of us have to phucking get AWAY from it is Bladeforums (outside the Political Arena). If we let you phucking phuckers take that we wouldn't have ANY place left.

Why settle for a lesser evil?

CTHULHU FTHAGN!

I have the Hinderer Kubaton/pen in Titanium. The finish is top notch, and I love it, but I mostly carry and then use it occasionally, If I used it more, the constant screwing and unscrewing the top would very quickly become an extreme nuisance. Sadly I sometimes use the cashiers supplied pins to sign sales slips even when the Hinderer is in my pocket. Of course I really dig the presurized space pen cartridge. If you're gonna use it alot I might suggest the other... assuming it doesn't have a screw off top. (not familiar with that pen) Hope this helps. gdwtvb

Get the Benchmade. If the pointy tip bothers you, some plasti-dip, or heat shrink tubing should work wonders. If you have a PDA type device, or a Nintendo DS Light, you now have a defensive stylus....

imho, spending $80 for a pen for SD isn't necessary.

I'm with you. If I am stripped of everything else and left with just a pen I consider myself pretty much screwed at that point.
Yea yea, the pen is mighter than the sword........

I am sold on the Zebra's. Here lately I've been buying a Pentel pen called the Client. It is retractable like the 402, and has the same solid feel of the 402, but can be found for under $3.00 at WalMart. Refills are easily available. Both of these pens are solid and reliable.

With that said, I'm going to get a Benchmade for myself!
