Which Pocket?

Which ones specifically, cotton, poly/cotton? I have one pair of cargos from Wmart. 100% cotton. Color fading fast. Am thinking I'm getting past jeans. Thanks.

Mostly the poly/cotton ones. I do have one pair of the cotton pants. The poly/cotton pants are the ones that wear like iron. I like the cotton pants for cotton's comfort but it's typical cotton material--fades and wears faster.

If it's a Para or Millie, I'll carry IWB. I leave all my Para 2s set for tip down like the Para 1s and Millies are so I can carry IWB tip down. I've never had a problem with one of the opening inappropriately no matter how it's being carried. I never carry knives in my back pocket. I always want them either beside me or in front of me.

Can you share more detail on how? Straight down or slanted? The knives will be quite visible & I imagine poking into belly?
I'm curious as I never found IWB tip down being comfortable. Approximately 2 o'clock and slightly slanted, with Spyderhole slightly above waistline.

Mostly I carry clipless tip up in pouches in my RFP and LRP. Never in back pocket.

I carry slightly slanted for crossdraw. I'm RH so the knife goes at about 10:00 tip down. Doesn't bother me at all that way. I should say that I don't tuck my shirts in so nothing shows because my waistband is covered. When I have to tuck in for dress, I carry in my RFP. Nothing but the knife goes in my knife pocket. Never has never will. The knife has the pocket all to itself.

Am I the only person to clip my knife in the waist band? Pocket clip doesn't limit it to a pocket.

Dale, thanks. My primary ones are lockback, so I have no worries about it opening. So in your method, the pivot / clip is at 10 o'clock and the butt of the handle pointing left towards hip bone?
Might give it a try sometimes, though usually I tuck my shirt which makes it more difficult.

I try to stay consistent, that way in any type of emergency I know were to reach without thinking about it. The knife I'm carrying is always in my right front pocket by itself. Pistol, usually Glock md19 is appendix carry IWB.

I'm right handed but I mostly clip my knives into the left front pocket. Tip up or TD does not matter. I carry a firearm a lot so my clipped knife is on the support side. Anyway, I have also been carrying a smaller folder, like a SAK or a Sodbuster Jr type traditional in the right front pocket.

For the clipless knives in the right pocket I also slip a handkerchief/pocket square into the same pocket which helps it not to move around too much. Using a handkerchief/pocket square, I can also stand the knife on end inside the pocket and it will ride like that for awhile. Sometimes the knife slips to the base of the pocket though depending n what I am doing.

rarely do I carry in the back pocket or cargo pocket, even though I wear cargos a lot.

I have always carried my knife clipped to my right front pocket. But that is going to change soon, when I have suregery on my right shoulder; my knife will be getting clipped to my left front pocket. I AM ambidextrous.

OT... but best wishes and prayers for successful surgery on your right shoulder. Hope the recovery is short and complete.

Right front pocket and left cargo pocket when using the pocket clips. I also use pouches left or right side or front belt carry.
