which rat knife best for the backcountry.

It's all cool Tonym, I was surprised to learn about all of this when I finally decided to buy the RC-3 and thought that they were all made by Ontario.I really like my new RC knife, and will be purchasing more in time. Being a newbie I'm learning more by reading what you guy's have to say.

Amen to that! It will be nice when RAT Cutlery comes out on top so the newby attempting to purchase their first RC will get the quality blade they are expecting and not some mass produced imitation.

Little disclaimer: I have yet to purchase my first one, but the Orange RC-4 will be the next blade I purchase.
