The ad says it is the current issue German military pocket knife. http://www.countycomm.com/swiss.htm
I have never owned a SAK, and quite honestly always thought they were kind of gimmicky and toyish looking. Lately however, I saw a Victorinox One Handed Fireman and I really liked the looks and feel of it, except for that damn cork screw, so I was thinking about ordering one. Then I stumbled upon this knife which appears to be almost the same knife but with more useful features I think...I really like the looks of this one even better, and it is sans the damn cork screw which is what makes SAKS look so hokey to me in the first place. What do y'all think of this one here. Any reason I shouldn't order it. I have never had a problem with anything from CountyComm.

Its a great knife it is the same as the one hand trekker but with out the toothpick and twezzers I'd recommend getting it from felvinet he has the best prices

You definitely should order it (affectionately called a GAK), they are great, great knives. I think that it will only be the start of a collection of Saks. You should definitely look here before you do anything though.

A great knife. I have one, paid roughly $30. A quick search of the net will show prices in the $30 range. It is basically a SAK OHT. Main blade is liner locking. Saw is awesome. I carry mine in a little PSK that I through in which every bigger bag I am carrying, e.g. hunting, camping, road trip... The serrations turned me off until I tried them. They are very efficient.

That's why I love this place! Thanks guys. I will be ordering both a OH Trekker and the GAK from the link jthomas provided.:D:D:D
I may buy five or six of these to put in a couple of my small BOBs and to give as gifts this Christmas.

You must not like wine like i do.;)

Buddy, in Texas, wine is something women do, but it is spelled whine...:D:D
I drink whiskey and beer.

The corkscrew on mine is a handy place to store that tiny screwdriver for sunglasses. I have used it for it's intended purpose, though.

This has turned into a thread about dealers which is off topic for this forum.

That is a Bundeswehr edition of the One Hand Trekker. The differences between the German Army model and the commercial one hand trekker are the scales, and the lack of a toothpick and tweezers on the Bundeswehr edition. I like mine a lot.

If you like the exotic models, you can check with felinevet for the Dutch Army Knife also. There is also an older German Army Knife which is based on a different Victorinox than the OHT.

County Comm is definitely a pleasure to deal with and a terrible temptation to browse. :D
