Which SAK should I get?

The thinnest SAK that I own which has pliers is a Handyman. I don't carry it very often, mostly Spartan or alox models these days. Pliers are useful tools, but since I'm a computer tech, I have pliers in my tool bag.

My favorite SAK of old would be the Explorer. That said, I think it is a little to wide to make a comfortable everyday carry. I think that 3 layers is the thickest I would go with Victorinox, with the 2 layer being more preferable. I am in the process of trying to decide between the Compact and the Super Tinker (I will probably end up with both). The Yeoman would be another 3 layer option, but I only think it is currently available in limited quantities through swissbianco.

I wish Victorinox would make a 2 layer Compact with scissors, large blade, multi opener, plus the front side philips in the smaller 84 mm size. That would be the perfect EDC SAK in my opinion.

Thank you everybody for all the great responses! Here is what I ended up getting.

Victorinox Tinker

I really really like this knife! I am very glad that I chose the Tinker. I have only had it for about a week and I have already used it a lot. I like how thin it is and how comfortable it is in the pocket. The tools that it has are perfect for what I need.
Thank you everybody for helping me decide which SAK to get!

The Tinker is a hard one to beat in the classic red cellidor scaled models. Good choice you made there.

I've never been a huge SAK fan in the past (nothing against them, they just weren't really on my radar) but I picked an Alox Electrician not long ago and carried it for a couple of weeks. Man what a great knife that turned out to be. Good thing for Case and GEC that I didn't start with SAKs, or else I might not have ever discovered their products. :)
