Which shall it be? To order my first Busse (TGLB) or to hold the fund for Knob Creek?

I recently sold my Father's truck after he passed away (I have one too many vehicles) so I acquired funds that I will use towards things BUT I have enough to buy my first Busse knife! (Buying the busse magnum bear cub didn't really feel like I broke the ice as it was not something I really chose for me (long story) so I sold it and still feel like a Busse Virgin awaiting her first Busse knife)

After finding out about Knob Creek and seeing all those past options the Busse booth had, my boyfriend (also a gun/knife/outdoor enthusiast) emailed Lexi and she let him know that Busse will not be bringing the TGLB to Knob Creek due to how popular it is via the website.

So...do I order a TGLB, a design that I actually do like, with my own color schemes, etc? Or do I take a gamble and go to Knob Creek and hope there is a yet-to-be-public lineup grail knife that I want? (Grail knives = CGFBM & Hell Razor combo)
I wish to break my "Busse Virginity" by acquiring one directly from Busse themselves as opposed to buying from another person.

Problem is, only can do one or the other as I have Europe trip to fund for this winter/early spring.

So that's where you guys come in and convince me of one or the other! (There is no right or wrong answers, purely opinion of which)
(P.s. I am very well aware that once I buy my "first" Busse, it wont be my last. Just in this case, I wish to approach it this way. I also will serve as my threads tie breaking vote if need be.)

So, help me out, which way shall I go!

I'd try knob creek. if you don't find something you love you can always get a TGLB later, or order it at the show. :)

But my worry is that they will discontinue the TGLB as it's been around for a while now?

They always keep some blanks...but no one ever knows how many...after a normal production blade is discontinued.

Here's how I look at it...

Knob Creek is a brief experience while a Busse will outlast your grandkids.

on the other hand...

Knob Creek is a unique experience that doesn't really compare apples to apples to a blade.

and finally...

Knob Creek rolls around annually while, as you state, Busse's disappear sometimes.

What I would do is go to Knob Creek and then start saving up for the Busse in the hopes of snagging on or buying secondary market.

What DID I do?? I made payments monthly until it was paid for. Times have been tough for years but making monthly payments of under $100 was pretty easy.

Wait...there's a payment plan for Busse from the company?

And I can afford going to Knob creek and buying a knife there off their lineup, no problem there. Just don't know which one to do first. :p

Knob Creek is a blast even if you don't get to buy anything. It is always great to meet fellow knife nuts.

Yeah, Busse has a pretty informal payment plan. Get a hold of Lexi or Pokey and they'll help you out.

Yup, no interest and you have three months to pay it off I believe. At least that's how it was for me last year. However, it wasn't until one of the ladies from Busse told me about it on here that I found out about it. No one seems to talk about it on here, they just whine about their credit card melting and how Busse's are debt magnets.

Hold out for KC, wait until you get the TGLB in your hand, you may not like it.

That model will be at KC, there's a ton of blanks

Another vote for KC attendance.

Even if you cannot attend TH Busse activities, the tables at the KC event are full of Bussekin; providing for a nice varity of choices (that you can pick up and get a feel for in ways looking pictures can never provide).

And some sweet stuff does make it to the tables at the shoot, even if the majority of awesomeness is hogged up the evening prior.

The TGLB will not be going to knob creek according to Lexi via email.

And I dont want bussekins. I want busse only. So Need2know is implying the busse knives wont end up at knob creek event itself?

I can say nothing with certainty about the future. But Busse knives certainly make it to the Creek. Even on a Saturday, I have scored some nice and not too common Busse items.

I'm just saying that those that get there first....get "firsties".

Thats just awesome. I mean really really awesome. I might get to own a 2nd Busse one day now... Thanks for this Info :)

I love Lexi, but I'll just throw this out there.

Ever since the TGLB became available, it has been to every KC, Indy 1500, and Blade Show.

So.......

The major action and best selection is actually on Thursday night at the hotel, before the Knob Creek Show itself.

The CGFBM and Hell Razor are old enough now that it is unlikely that you would find them at the Show, IMHO. KC regulars may chime in here.

Bussekins ROCK!!! The entire family has awesome blades. I think the RMD might just be the best 5" blade EVER!

But back on track, lmao, If the TGLB is the knife you want, i wouldnt take ANY chances... Get it now. If Lexi said it wont be going.... why risk it, if its what you want?

If you were indecisive on the blade, then id consider holding out, but it sounds like you know what you want.... so get it while its a sure thing.

Maybe it's soon to be retired, no?

I doubt it. It's a popular seller plus it's on a tv series. The LBAA has been up over a year and no hints of retirement, same as the TGLB

I'd say wait, IF the TGLB was going to be retired soon Busse would announce it for people to get last call. So hold out for KC if you can wait

For the record, I was told there weren't going to be any Wakis at blade, there was 5 or 6 of them

Ill bump this thread from KC with a pic of 20 TGLBs

How's this sound? I'll send you my TGLB, see if it's what you want. Then make your decision. I would be willing to trust you.
