Which Side of G-10 to Glue?

I am going to glue some G-10 to a slab of petrified dinosaur bone to add some strength and try to prevent future problems. I'll then use lapidary equipment (diamond blades and grinders/polishing compound) to form and finish. Should I attach the smooth side or the rougher side to the rock, and should I use regular or gel Superglue to attach? You experience appreciated.

It doesn't matter which side you glue as long as you glue them both on the same side. Can't help you with the glue other than to say I don't think I would use superglue at all. Will you be peening these as well?

I'm sure someone with much more info about the glue will come along shortly

Will the G10 be sacrificial or liner material? I probably can't help either way, but I figured I'd help narrow down what you are going for so someone else may be able to help.

One side of the G-10 is rougher than the other. I plan to use these as 1911 grips so NO peening. I drill a larger hole then fill with microbed. I then redrill the microbed so there is NO screw to rock touching. The screw head covers the larger hole and microbed.

Use some West Systems Epoxy, or Devcon 2-Ton. Both have worked for me in the past. Please post some pics when you're finished with the grips......I'm interested in seeing the finished product.
