Which sodbuster?

What's your budget? If you want something really nice you should consider getting a custom sodbuster made by K.R. Johnson or Kerry Hampton.

I have a Case Jr. Soddie in both CV and stainless.
They're both excellent and I'd definitely recommend them.
SMKW has had them on sale periodically for a few extra dollars off the regular price...

Just go with Case and don't look back...

My budget's not that high - I won't be getting a custom.

Thank you Forumites for the recommendations and advice.

I've got both large and small Case in CV, German Eye, and Rough Rider. I have to say, I was disappointed in the Case: Fit and finish were perfect, but the strength of the backspring left a lot to be desired (I've found this on others, as well). The RR has the split-liner lock (not really a Walker lock, as the tang engagement is different), and good F&F . If I were going trad, I would pick the German Eye: Extra strong backspring, forged carbon blade, and price in line with the philosophy of a Sodbuster. [I also like to pair it with it's large stockman kin.]

I have a bunch of sodbuster pattern knives. My favorite is the Case Sodbuster Jr in CV.
