Now, that is what I mentioned back on page one Rayban. Those are really distinctly nice looking sod busters. It is on my list. However, I just bought this week, so I may have to wait.

Nicer stag (and I'm sure fit and finish) on the S&M but the advantage of a D2 blade on this limited run Queen which has been seen here many a time before:

John, the Queen was an SFO as far as I know and I got mine from Thomason a couple years back. (I remember that PG Quick (I think that's the name) had 'em at one time but that was a while back.)

Can't speak to the S&M.

Well, that Queen and S&M stag Sodbusters are on on my "buy 'em as soon as you see 'em list" lol I hate when that happens

If I see one available, I'll probably get it, too. I just love the sodbuster style.

Now, the Queen will probably require some major work if you go that way, but it will sure hold an edge. D2 has a shadowy patina that is not like the carbon variety. Oh, and the Queens have very strong backsprings...almost nailbreakers.

The Case will by sharp more than likely.

So, it depends on how much work you like to put into your new knives.

For me, I want to get them all. It's a great performer.

Not too much work if you start with a coarse diamond hone and get the bevel down to the edge. I freehanded the Queen and it ended up with a nice sharp edge after a little work and some finishing on ceramic for good measure.
