Since early 1990 or so I carried an endura. I think I went through four of them in that decade. One lost, one broken blade tip, one jacked up plastic handle from the pocket clip cutting into it, and one with a broken blade tip AND a jacked up plastic handle. come to think of it they ALL had some sort of damage on the plastic handle from the pocket clip but it only became unusable on a couple of them.
I discovered the military in 2000 and it's been my daily carry since. I'm on military number three. I had one ATS34 lost while whitewater rafting, one s30v with a broken bladetip, and I JUST got in the mail recently my carbon fiber bg-42 blade which will stay in my pocket until it's tip breaks or it gets lost. (or the carbon fiber starts unravelling)
I have a few other spyderco knives (I used to have alot of them, some of the pearl inlaids, like the native and the vesuvius, a terzoula, a wegner hunter, and a few others) but I sold most of them when I got my first military because I didn't see a reason to have the others when the military is the perfect carry knife. I must admit the Kumo fixed blade and the Manix will probably join me soon and the spyderfly may have to leave to make room.
Edited to add: I wish I never sold that native with the pearl inlay because it had a g10 handle and all the new ones have plastic which I hate. It's blade was too short, but it was nice for when I traveled somewhere that the military blade might be against the law. If anyone has a g10 handled native (with or without pearl and no ats-55) for sale I'll take it.
