Which Spyderco are you carrying today?

Slipjoint Sunday : UK Penknife from 2004 😊

Yeah, I know where they're made and they have budget steel blades, but they fit my hand great, have excellent F&F, are generously skeletonized, and can be had very economically. My first Spydie was a combo-edged Tenacious, I've always had a soft spot for that model, and have picked up five of them, both new and on the secondary market, over the years.

This whole year I have been all about the M4 version !
I went whole hog :
Bought two donor Tenacious knives with black G10 (I am not a bit embarrassed that I like black handled knives ) .
Bought black Ti clips for them with the swirly colored detailing (I have no clue what that is called) .
Reprofiled both edges .
One of them I cut the top of the blade away to get a thin blade without having to take it to the belt grinder . Kept the Spydie hole of course ((with the bump around the hole where the blade was cut away I can now wave the knife open 😎👍; I've done this with other Spydercos )). Works great / looks a little like the Spyderco Slym but with a (new) spine thickness of 1.9mm ; he's for the light work and Stock M4 Tenacious is for more enthusiastic use .
Got the knice patina on them .
Fun satisfying project for some work knives .

Only the last two weeks have they stayed at home . Been carrying the Spyderco Slym with a Feist in 3V ground thin to 1.5 mm at the spine for the light work.

Really love the M4 Tenacious though ; just a matter of time before they will be back in my pockets for work carry . 👍

The one on the top. Delica in Spy27, with a modified handle shape. My hand has never matched the finger hickeys on the Delica handle. There's a hickey right where I want to place my middle finger. So I whittled away the finger placement hickeys and now the handle is much more comfortable. I put it next to an unmodified Delica to show the difference.
