Which Spyderco are you carrying today?

The Military is one of my all time favorites. This is my Barman1 special!! It carries great for such a big knife.

Apparently the black PPT will be available next week. I don't carry mine often but it is a very cool knife.

Hi Barman1, I got the scales from cuscadi.

Hi Ken, thanks for your kind words!

Thanks.
That's what I thought but can't find them on the site??
I know it's your favorite but if it ever falls out of favor give me a shout. ;)

Just picked this up off the exchange.

A 75mm Spyderco Persian by Ed Schempp

Real pretty to my eye but also quite small. I bought it as a dress knife (following Rule #9) and will not use as an EDC as I can barely open it one handed due to its small closed length. An EDC must be a one handed opener but for more casual carry I can use 2 hands to deploy. This one is still too tight and too sharp that opening it one handed requires my full attention. It wants to resist being opened and the tendency is to snap back closed. That would hurt real bad .

I hate the black painted pocket clip. Today I am carrying it in my watch pocket without the clip. The black is the wrong color so I will strip and polish - a stainless clip it will be. The clip width is too much for this little knife too so I might resize a bit. I can't ruin it by modding the clip.

Otherwise - it is a perfect and pretty little knife

Thanks.

It is not on their site. I contacted them directly and asked them to make it according to my preference.

I received my carbon fiber scale from gatorscales for my Southard yesterday. It looks amazing and the quality is outstanding, love it!

Got drunk and lost it last night.
Damn. :grumpy:

The only things you can hope for at this point are:

You find it.

Someone who knows you finds it and gives it back to you.

Pray that it either finds it's way to someone who will appreciate it and cherish it or stays lost so that it does not fall into the hands of some dbag who is has no idea what it is and abuses/destroys it.

Sorry for your loss and I hope you find it!

Hopefully it didn't Emerson-open as it was losing itself, lol.

Good point.

And I'm never drinking green russians again. :barf:
