Hiya Wired! I should let you know I always smile when I see your GB getting use. The scale is just a slab of CF. It holds up pretty well (i.e. can't feel it bend at all under normal use). I don't use my Technos for heavy work despite their construction, so I'm not too worried about not having a liner. And no, this one Steve didn't do. I'm trying to find the original maker, as I got the Techno second-hand from a guy who got it second-hand. I'll let you know if I come up with something!
