Which Spyderco are you carrying today?

Yeah...the clip screws aren't long enough now because the scales are thicker than stock (I always watch pocket carried it before so I've decided not to try to find longer clips screws...it's always a smaller carry to a larger knife anyways), but the thicker scales are definitely an ergonomic improvement if you have larger hands. You might not be able to make out the red G10 in the carbon fiber (They're in alternating layeres), but I requested very dark red because I wanted it to look like almost cooled lava. And Casey's pry tool is spectacular. I've used it for something every single day since I bought it, and it has already helped me out of a couple of jams that would have taken me at least 20-30 minutes to get out of instead of 30 seconds. I'll get better pictures of my Lava if you want. ShepardCC (Eric) made the scales, and did a damn fine job. He also did the Chokwe scale I posted a few pictures above, and some for a few of my other knives as well.

Very cool! Nice subtle touch with the alternating dark red. Most of his work I have seen is quite loud and in your face (not a bad thing, just a style I have noticed).

I got exactly what I requested and I'm very pleased with the workmanship. To each his own, but I'm more than happy with what he's made for me. He also did a Schempp Tuff scale and backspacer for me and a scales and sheath for my Swick3 (He also acid and stonewashed my Swick3).
